Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Bump. So I went through everything and now my whole house is covered and everything can connect to a single network. The only problem I'm having now is that my laptop, which I used to connect and set up the WAP can't connect wirelessly to the network. Any ideas? I tried flushing the DNS...
Alright guys, bear with my very amateur explanation of this. So, in an attempt to improve my signal in my house I relocated my router upstairs from downstairs by running a long cable to the modem downstairs, since I have read that the signal travels more efficiently down than up apparently. That...
I have a situation. I have a D-link DIR-655. Which that along side with my modem is located downstairs. The upstairs living room has a crappy signal where loading videos becomes painfully slow. Awhile ago, I just tried to relocate my router upstairs and just drill a hole for a CAT cable to slip...
Bump..but I've been meaning to ask for a long time now but I never got to it. I got an XT ages ago, but the surface of it basically worn down the feet on my MX510. I'm assuming this wasn't supposed to happen?
EDIT: actually ignore my question for now.. I didn't even think about searching...
Oh crap, sorry that I didn't mention that. I suppose a size similar to the P182 would be great. I don't think it's considered a full tower. I CAN work with a full tower though, but the amount of trunk space it takes is also a consideration.
Hey guys. I've been out of the game for awhile (I only do extensive research when I'm in the process of building a PC) and been thinking of switching my case. I'm a college student now and I lug my desktop with me all the time to my dorm. I built my system back in 2007 I think, and I use an...
Yeah I am having problems with both, but as I said in an earlier post I did go about uninstalling MSE and now when I reinstall it, the reinstallation screen just hangs. But I will try to manually install updates.
Are you referring to MSE or windows updates? At this point, I think I might just reformat though having to configure a USB load of Windows 7 will be a headache as well since my laptop doesn't have a cd drive.
Sorry for the double posting and unnecessary bump but I uninstalled MSE. Even after uninstalling it, windows update still refuses to download. I'm currently trying to reinstall it and it says it's installing but it never seems to finish. This is all incredibly strange.
I uninstalled MSE, and windows update still does not seem to be working. I'll try malwarebytes shortly.
EDIT: Malwarebytes came up clean as well. I think I'm starting to run out of options.
Currently I am trying that Microsoft Fixit link that Shane has provided for me. If that doesn't work then I'll go about the reinstallation process. Let you guys know how it goes soon and thank you for the help.
"
EDIT: Currently running that Fixit program and it says "service 'windows update'...
I scanned with your mentioned program and nothing got picked up. I'll probably try again in safe mode just to be safe. At this point I find it unlikely that I have a virus. I have some doubt that something would have gotten passed my firefox usage with noscript and adblock.
