Bump. So I went through everything and now my whole house is covered and everything can connect to a single network. The only problem I'm having now is that my laptop, which I used to connect and set up the WAP can't connect wirelessly to the network. Any ideas? I tried flushing the DNS...
Alright guys, bear with my very amateur explanation of this. So, in an attempt to improve my signal in my house I relocated my router upstairs from downstairs by running a long cable to the modem downstairs, since I have read that the signal travels more efficiently down than up apparently. That...
I have a situation. I have a D-link DIR-655. Which that along side with my modem is located downstairs. The upstairs living room has a crappy signal where loading videos becomes painfully slow. Awhile ago, I just tried to relocate my router upstairs and just drill a hole for a CAT cable to slip...
Bump..but I've been meaning to ask for a long time now but I never got to it. I got an XT ages ago, but the surface of it basically worn down the feet on my MX510. I'm assuming this wasn't supposed to happen?
EDIT: actually ignore my question for now.. I didn't even think about searching...
Oh crap, sorry that I didn't mention that. I suppose a size similar to the P182 would be great. I don't think it's considered a full tower. I CAN work with a full tower though, but the amount of trunk space it takes is also a consideration.
Hey guys. I've been out of the game for awhile (I only do extensive research when I'm in the process of building a PC) and been thinking of switching my case. I'm a college student now and I lug my desktop with me all the time to my dorm. I built my system back in 2007 I think, and I use an...
Yeah I am having problems with both, but as I said in an earlier post I did go about uninstalling MSE and now when I reinstall it, the reinstallation screen just hangs. But I will try to manually install updates.
Are you referring to MSE or windows updates? At this point, I think I might just reformat though having to configure a USB load of Windows 7 will be a headache as well since my laptop doesn't have a cd drive.
Sorry for the double posting and unnecessary bump but I uninstalled MSE. Even after uninstalling it, windows update still refuses to download. I'm currently trying to reinstall it and it says it's installing but it never seems to finish. This is all incredibly strange.
I uninstalled MSE, and windows update still does not seem to be working. I'll try malwarebytes shortly.
EDIT: Malwarebytes came up clean as well. I think I'm starting to run out of options.
Currently I am trying that Microsoft Fixit link that Shane has provided for me. If that doesn't work then I'll go about the reinstallation process. Let you guys know how it goes soon and thank you for the help.
"
EDIT: Currently running that Fixit program and it says "service 'windows update'...
I scanned with your mentioned program and nothing got picked up. I'll probably try again in safe mode just to be safe. At this point I find it unlikely that I have a virus. I have some doubt that something would have gotten passed my firefox usage with noscript and adblock.
I have no idea where it is, but here is another screen shot. http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/4637/31139805.png
I was kind of surprised to see that the log had 39,000 entries..
It gave a specific error number that I forgot, but it also said that "did not restart in a timely fashion". It was something to that accord. If you want, I'll try it again and get what it says exactly.
Oh my, well this is embarrassing. Alright well, I'm not very strong in cleaning up viruses or digging through Windows. I tried restarting BITS through services.msc but it failed. Virus scans come up clean. No clue what to do next. And it can't be a networking issue because I'm currently posting...
I have Windows 7. Recently, for whatever reason MSE has been trying to update new definitions but the download would only make it a quarter of the way and then the line wouldn't move anymore. Additionally, for any windows update I download, it would stay at 0%. Any idea what's going on?
I'll consider..but I'm debating if I should move other to an entirely new platform like i5 or i7 or whatever that's out (I'm out of date with these things) or just spend the money for the quad core. But I just played a quick round of Rush awhile ago. Lag and hit detection was far less worse and...
I don't mean to bring technical things in this thread..but the lag and hit detection is killing me. And my XFX 5770 can only average me 20-35 FPS in the game on medium settings, 1440x900. That seems a bit off, no?
Hey guys, just popped on Amazon to buy the game for a friend and saw it for this price. Just passing the goodness to you folks.

Hello. So, I'm moving off to college this summer and I'm planning on buying a netbook. I know nothing about them. Basically, will there be any significant changes by early to mid May enough to have me wait until then to buy a netbook? I don't intend to use it for anything more than PDFs, word...
Though there are a lot of snipers, having gravity affect the range of the bullet is really, really fun for me. There was a guy mounted on those shielded machine guns with only a slit to see through. I just found it awesome to aim a little higher to lob the bullet right through the slit and see...
Great game for how long I played..which wasn't very long. I stopped when you were supposed to find that guy in the cave. Immediately entering the cave, the atmosphere just totally crept me out which no other non-scary game has done. Then seeing the bats starting to fly out didn't help either...
How does this fair with a 4770? I really need to upgrade from my 7950gt and I'm getting too antsy waiting for them to get back in stock.
EDIT: Just did some snooping around . I guess I'll wait. Meh.
