Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
My current system is almost exactly like yours, but with 32GB RAM. Yes it's old, but I keep multiple browsers with dozens of tabs open along with Ameitrade Thinkorswim, Excel sheets open and sometimes Winamp playing music and it's still as snappy as I could want it to be. I think it could be...
Long time lurker here selling a brand new, factory sealed 6th generation (2018) 128GB iPad:

I have an old dell e197fp that apparently blew a bunch of capacitors on the inverter board (a common problem with that model after some searching).
I already tried replacing the caps, but I suck at soldering and completely FUBAR'd the board, so that's not an option anymore.
Is there...
Could someone explain to a newb like me what I need to know going into an IB build given this new development? If I order the retail package (assuming nothing changes) what else will I need? Do I need to buy Arctic Silver, and/or an aftermarket cooler?
So if I have this video card HERE and do no gaming whatsoever, would an IB serve me better for 1080p video?
I also have dual monitors, how should I set up my new rig when I build it?
Just got mine today, ordered late Wednesday night.
Ended up getting it for about $232 from Dell.com. The secret? I got $300 worth of Dell gift cards off ebay for $230. Free shipping, minus 5% from Fatwallet, plus tax.
Awesome monitor, especially for this price! :D
Right now my brother has 2x512MB of pc4200 DDR2 in his Dell Dimension... I just bought him 2x1GB of pc5300.
I know if I use all 3GB together they will run at the slower speed, is it better to go with only 2GB but faster speed?
Okay, so again, if I'm not gaming... what if I stuck with my old 8600GT on an i7 2600k rig? Would that totally bog me down, or be fine for what I need?
(it would be nice to be able to save some money if I don't need to upgrade)
I won't even be getting the money for a new system until late January, and I'm under no deadline to build a new one.... Talk me into waiting the extra couple months for Ivy Bridge instead of a Sandy. ;)
