Nikyo, thanks for the information. You sound like you have some experience with monitors. Yes, I am not concerned with money, just a good 1440p monitor for my general use.
I went with the BenQ BL2710PT 27-Inch monitor. Can I use a dvi cable for 2560x1440 resolution with my GeForce 550ti...
One other question. I have an older graphics card, a Nvidia 550ti. Will it be able to handle 2560x1440 resolution okay even for playing movies. I don't play games so that isn't something I'm concerned with, just the web and movies.
thanks
Thank you very much for the information. :) I appreciate it. Thanks for recommending a few monitors for me to look at. The BenQ BL2710PT sounds like what I looking for right now.
I want a nice big monitor for the web and watching movies. I spend a lot of time online because I help manage a few different forums. But my biggest love is watching movies, usually bluray videos. I read many reviews and narrowed down my choice so far to this monitor,

 Not sure if serious or kidding? LOL. The same could be said for most horror, crime movies, etc where somebody is a victim. You just have to realize that it's meant to be a game to entertain people. That's all really.:D
Can somebody tell me if this cpu upgrade is worth the money? I have an E4600 dual core running at 2.4ghz (2M L2 Cache, 2.40 GHz, 800 MHz FSB). I was looking at upgrading to the E6700 2.66ghz (4M Cache, 2.66 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB). Is the extra cache and small ghz increase worth it for $50.00. Does...
Yes the 6 pin is attached. I don't have another card right now. Just my integrated graphics built into the pc. Could the card just be incompatible with my board or is this unlikely? Does the PCI-E option in bios only appear when you have a card in the slot?
Hope somebody can help me a bit. I tried installing my hd 5770 video card in the PCI-E slot in my board, but when I boot I get a black screen when using the DVI cable and VGA cables. When I take the card out and go back into Bios, there is no PCI-E option, just on board video and PCI. Is this...
I just tried this on my 8800GT that was displaying artifacts and red lines. Sad to say it didn't work for me. Put the card back in and got nothing but a black screen. Oh well, didn't lose anything since the card was 4 years old and out of warranty. :(
Just curious as to how much memory most people have that occasionally game and watch Hd movies, etc. Is 2GB sufficient or outdated by today's requirements?
LOL.:p Yeah I went from the 1.8ghz to 2.4ghz dual core, which really seemed to make a nice jump for me in some games. I haven't rebuilt my pc though since then as I stopped playing games for awhile. Now I am back into gaming and really notice the lag. I was hoping to make a small bump for a year...
