Yes the 6 pin is attached. I don't have another card right now. Just my integrated graphics built into the pc. Could the card just be incompatible with my board or is this unlikely? Does the PCI-E option in bios only appear when you have a card in the slot?

Hope somebody can help me a bit. I tried installing my hd 5770 video card in the PCI-E slot in my board, but when I boot I get a black screen when using the DVI cable and VGA cables. When I take the card out and go back into Bios, there is no PCI-E option, just on board video and PCI. Is this...

I just tried this on my 8800GT that was displaying artifacts and red lines. Sad to say it didn't work for me. Put the card back in and got nothing but a black screen. Oh well, didn't lose anything since the card was 4 years old and out of warranty. :(
