    Thanks a bunch for the link WiSk. I think for my purposes I could just relocate the line filter/power socket to just outside the PSU. So about 13mm is the most I can shave off after removing the line filter?

    I like this idea. +1 At the end of the day it's just the side panel and the front gets the clean look everyone desires. Since I assume the side panels are interchangeable, this shouldn't really change the cost of production at all since a clean side panel has to be made anyways.

    In my personal experience, when I had the Bitfenix Prodigy for two years, the USB ports on the sides were far enough away from me that I always reached to the back to plug something in.

    Im not sure if I like the USB's on the side. I usually sigh when I see cases like this. (Ex. Bitfenix Prodigy). I still prefer option #2, or the power button at the back. If you are thinking of moving the USB's to the side you might as well move the power button over there too.
