Thank you for the suggestion. I did try doing that, but the issue remains. For what its worth, the motherboard is an Asus Sabertooth.

Sometimes my PC doesn't post until I flip the switch on the power supply...

On one of the new PC's I built I ended up reusing a couple parts (one being the power supply). The system is a socket 1156 motherboard and an i5 processor. When the PC has been off for a while it sometimes won't post unless I re-seat the power cable, flip the switch on the power supply off...

Please help - using dual 5850's and cannot get crossfire tab to appear in CCC

Okay, I ran across an interesting development... I removed the bridge between my ATI cards after I re-installed the drivers and cards again. Now this message pops up: This NEVER comes up when I have the bridge(s) connected, so why does it show with both cards installed but no link...

Please help - using dual 5850's and cannot get crossfire tab to appear in CCC

Yes, I have tried two bridges, one bridge, one card installed at a time, then the other. I tried adding the second card with and without bridges, etc. I think I have tried everything except an OS re-install, which I would rather not do. Here is a pic showing both cards are installed, and...

Please help - using dual 5850's and cannot get crossfire tab to appear in CCC

Thanks for the swift reply. Unfortunately I have tried all of what you mentioned; still no luck. I am very confused... What could cause this?

Please help - using dual 5850's and cannot get crossfire tab to appear in CCC

As the title says, I cannot get the crossfire tab to appear in CCC. I am using the 10.2 catalyst and trying to enable Crossfire with two 5850's. OS is Windows 7 64-bit running an i7 920 on an Asus P6X58D Premium motherboard. I installed one card first (including drivers and hotfix), then...

    The Official HP w2207/w2007 Thread

I just picked up this monitor and so far it is amazing. Yes, the software is a little buggy but I assume that will be fixed soon. My one gripe is that one certainly notices tearing in quick moving games like CS:S. I also don't like to use vsync but may have to due to this small annoyance...

    The Official HP w2207/w2007 Thread

Sounds like this monitor is a real winner with picture quality and color saturation, but how about gaming? No one has mentioned if it ghosts or not? Thanks!

Please help with Asus Commando issues

I just received my Asus Commando, E6600, tuniq tower and G.Skill DDR1000 (rated at 4-4-4-5 @2.3V) memory. I installed everything and widows installed without a hitch, but I can't even maintain stability for more than a minute using prime95/orthos when overclocked. I overclocked to 3.2GHz and...

    Intel Core 2 Gaming Performance

Okay, I follow you. However, what if a crossfire, SLI or the Geforce 7950 is used? Then that gap margin widens. Check out Tomshardware and Anandtech and you will see what I mean. If the motherboard Kyle used didn't have issues with the 7950, I think you would have seen a larger performance...

    Intel Core 2 Gaming Performance

I WAS talking about the majority of *enthusiasts* I guess I could have made that more clear... So, to reiterate, I was talking about those who are going for the complete platform upgrade whom are gaming enthusiasts. That should clear up any confusion. :D

    Intel Core 2 Gaming Performance

Better prices? Wha? The 6600 is 320 bucks and is as fast as the FX-62 which is over $1000. What are you talking about? Amd is suppose to adjust their prices, but the FX-62 is still selling for $1000 or more. For the best performance for the price ration, Core Duo is the way to go. And lets...
