Is there any reason why I can't seem to transfer files through AOL Instant Messenger from my 32bit Vista Ultimate laptop to my 64bit Vista Business desktop? I backed some files up on my laptop before installing Vista64 on my desktop and now that I want to transfer those files back on to my...
So I was able to secure a corporate cd-key from my office. The copy of Business Vista64 I had produced an error multiple times. So I asked a friend who had Business Vista64 to burn me a copy of his disc which he got from school. Everything went as planned, booted from the disc, program's...
Does it matter which processor you have in determining what saves the most power? B/c I got a laptop with dual core but will getting a laptop that is Core 2 Duo actually help me get better batter life off a single charge?

Besides the audio, how is the laptop itself? I'm considering getting one for when I go back to school and wanted to know if the screen size is too small? Do you have to strain your eyes and what resolution does it run? Thanks.
Well I'm looking to get a new laptop specifically for school. Writing reports, browsing the web and watching streamed content. I recently built a great computer for gaming which is in my sig and would probably consider getting this for school. But a part of me still can't justify spending...
Ahhh ok. I've run across some OEM CD's that were XP and you were able too. Then again some just wouldn't either. I've always been curious as to how the disc/software knows that its been installed on another machine and then refuses to install itself again. Always boggled my mind.
Okay, so OEM versions you can only install on 1 computer, I get that. Does that mean once you install the OEM OS on a computer you can't install it on another one or does it just mean your not "suppose" too install it?
I have a AC Freezer 7 and I don't hear a thing from it. The PWN control is awesome b/c I don't want it going 100% when idling. For the money, its a good solution plus you get their selected brand of thermal paste, MX-2 already on the unit.
If your not dead set on the Antec case, I would recommend the Cooler Master RC690. It got a section behind the mobo tray so you manage the wires and make it looks neat. Also has spots for 7x120mm fans and one 1x80mm fan behind the mobo tray where the CPU would be. Its got enough openings...
Hey Guys, I have the 8800GTS 512MB(G92) card. The specifications on this card state that the memory clock should be at 1940Mhz. When I use Everest and GPU-Z, it states my memory clock is at 972Mhz. Can someone tell me how I can raise this to the proper level. Thank you.
I have the 520HX and it runs:
E8400
AC7 Freezer Pro
2GB RAM
Seagate 250GB HDD
Samsung 203B DVD Burner
8800GTS(G92)
7x120mm case Fans
So far no problems, kept the computer on for about 10+ days and hasn't crashed yet.
Interesting Deacon. So then do they just copy it say to an external Hard Drive, format a computer then copy over the files to the newly formated computer?
