Does it matter which processor you have in determining what saves the most power? B/c I got a laptop with dual core but will getting a laptop that is Core 2 Duo actually help me get better batter life off a single charge?
 
We need more information, if the current dual core you have is actually a pentium dual core, then yes the Core 2 Duo would be better. However, in all reality, the type of processor won't matter a huge amount. It's more what you do with it.
