Wow you guys really proved that you're Nvidia fanboys in this review. Pretty much every page was putting Ati down. Crysis gameplay experience was much better on the GTX 295, even though the 4870X2 has nearly identical framerates? Sounds like bullshit to me.
And what's this about?

Funny how there's no evidence of these clocks anywhere in those images. Not even a CPUZ or screenshot!
Sounds incredibly fishy if you ask me but i don't doubt AMD's will to be top. 6GHz is incredible for booting windows on a quad core and i think that only a few people, if not only Kingpin...
That Asus board has 2 sockets and is meant for servers and workstations (such as rendering farms). It's not for gaming as it'll be a huge waste of money and power. What you want to get if you have no/high budget limits at all is the new Intel I7 quad and Evga's X58 motherboard. Like the guy up a...
I think that the P5Q-E is an excellent board but i'm slightly put off because it isn't giving me any temperature/voltage/current reports of anything apart from the CPU. On my 680i board i got MOSFET current and temps, NB voltage and temps, SB voltage and temps and a few other options...
What vcore are you using? I can get my C0 stepping E8500 to 4.8GHz with 1.58v but it's only stable for benching because load temps are in the high 60s.
OP you should be able to get 3.6 with stock volts, probably even undervolted. I've been running 3.6 with only 1.16v for a few months now.
You must have a good batch. My E8500 can't do 4.5GHz without 1.48v. I also wouldn't leave FSB Term on auto. A guy on another forums measured it to go as high as 1.6v if you leave it on auto and go up to 4.5GHz. That'll kill your cpu in a few days most likely.
I would ship first yes. If in the UK i would be posting by Special Delivery or Worldwide would either be Parcelforce or UPS. I'm not sure on UPS's prices but Parcelforce would charge £24 for postage to the US.
Hey. This was originally for a friends build but he decided to go with the Q6600 instead. It's retail boxed and completely unopened. I have 168 feedback 100% positive on Ebay.
Batch code: L823A969
Pack Date: 07/31/08
Looking for around £170 shipped but will take offers that aren't...
Just raising vcore usually does it. Most of the time i increase FSB and then raise vcore accordingly but if i'm in a hurry i'll just bump vcore up to the safest level and raise FSB as far as it will go.
My friend showed me the demo of this and i was blown away. Graphics are awesome and i like the small notices for when you should be pressing O or X ect.
