Maybe it doesn't run hot relative to some of the machines that are commonly seen on these forums, but it runs hot in the sense that my office runs up to 10 degrees warmer than the nearly identical room next door if I am working in there all day.
Hey guys, I've always loved these forums and have enjoyed coming here for a long time.
I built a gaming machine a while ago, I can dig up the full details if requested, but here's the basics:
Radeon 4870 HD 512mb
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 4ghz
4GB Ram
I had a lot of fun gaming on this...
This is kind of funny: I've always wished that there was a way you could make a window, say a MS Word document, always stay on top of other programs.
I seem to have fat-fingered some keys and accomplished this today. Even when I close the document, and re-open it, it still stays on top no...
I've been using Foobar2000 for what seems like most of a decade now and was wondering if I am becoming old fashioned and should upgrade? More generally, I'm curious what media players people use and what kind of features they like to see in their media players?
So I installed Win7 and am fooling around with it and am pretty happy with my $30 investment (student discount). I find, on the toolbar in the lower left, the "Frequent Windows Explorer" folder, and I think to myself that I can move all my music, videos and pictures into these folders. I move...

As for the physical limitations, I think eddie is correct:
That's the same number I calculated, using...
As a teenager I enjoyed playing games such as the original Warcraft and Ultima Online through a dial-up connection. Later on in life, cable and DSL internet became options, and I, for the most part, have been able to primarily enjoy FPS games online because of it.
I do remember playing duke...
edit: goddamnit this is back again.
I purchased this G5 because my mx500 was also having intermittent problems... This is so fucking frustrating... I just have no idea how to fix it and it ruins my gaming fun
Hi guys. Thank you for all the advice. I want to say that I feel like I have gone through the 'being polite stage.' I have contacted RCN over 10 times over the past year about this. I have changed my service plan with them. Spent hours upon hours trying to resolve the situation on my own. I have...
So do I have any recourse? Can I do anything to fix this? Can I try to get RCN to do something to fix this, like say "Hey Mr. RCN guys, you guys are doing something wrong and it's not fair to me, and if you don't fix it I have the right to pursue _______ action until you do."
