    IPS 27" light gaming 1440p ?!?!?!?!

I recently picked up three Auria EQ276WN IPS monitors from MicroCenter. Currently, they're $299 and do a native 2560x1440. The box advertises higher res, but it's via software and not worth it IMO. They look amazing. I've got them hooked up to a desktop PC and a Macbook Pro. Highly recommended.

    AURIA 27" EQ276WN 1440p IPS monitor update

Ok, this situation just pi**ed me off. I live in Frisco, MicroCenter's in Richardson. That's about a 30 min drive each way on the tollways. I was going to Richardson anyway on Saturday, so I packed up the matte display to exchange it for another glossy screen. Got there, left the matte @...

    AURIA 27" EQ276WN 1440p IPS monitor update

That's what I was afraid of. It looks excellent, but if it's not supposed to be like that, I'll have to take that one back and get another glossy one. I can't see myself having one matte & two glossy. As for the monitor arms, I found the manual and I may have to increase the resistance on...

    AURIA 27" EQ276WN 1440p IPS monitor update

I bought three of these at MicroCenter a week ago. Only had time to setup one until tonight. The first one I took out of the box has a matte screen, which I prefer. The other two, however, have glossy screens. There is nothing on the box that specifies the type of screen, nor can I find anything...

    Sharing iTunes library via NAS?

I've had a windows 7 desktop with iTunes, where the iTunes library is located on a DroboFS. I recently picked up a 17" MBP. How can I import the iTunes library, keeping everything on the Drobo and sync my iPhone and iPad on either device?

What desktop resolution does everyone use?

At work (Enterprise Web Development), I have 19" in portrait mode @ 1440 x 900 2 x 27.5" @ 1920 x 1200 Laptop @ 1600 x 900 The 19" is primarily for IM and reading documentation. The laptop screen is for the mail client. The main 27.5 monitors are for my IDE (Eclipse), SQL Server...

    i think i need a router upgrade

I've got the Netgear that was posted earlier and have been very happy with it. Regardless of which router, if you get a dual band (and you should), make sure it does CONCURRENT bands. I picked up a router a while back that said it was dual-band, but it was EITHER 2.4 or 5. You couldn't have...

SSD Upgrade for late 2011 17" MBP?

Over the weekend I picked up a 17" MBP, open box from Best Buy for $1849. I've already found a 16GB RAM upgrade for $80 from Crucial. Now I'm looking to upgrade to a SSD as the main, and possibly only, drive. I picked up Parallels as well and plan to install Windows 7 and then either...

    I-Inc 28 inch gone?

I-Inc, Hannspree and Hanns-G are the 3 brands behind those 27.5" monitors. I think the only difference is the warranty. They're all pretty much the same otherwise. In particular, NewEgg has a 27.5" Hanns-G on sale (through today) for $239 after MIR with free shipping.

    Comparison- coldfusion and .net

Disclosure, I'm the Manager of the DFW ColdFusion User Group. I currently work for a private company that employs about 100 ColdFusion developers for a massive Enterprise Application. I've been using CF for web applications since 1997, but I've also used PHP, Java/JSP and I'm looking at...

    Monitor Mount for 3 displays

I've got an Ergotron LX arm for my Samsung T260HD at home and an Ergotron Neo-Flex arm for my 19" Lenovo (portrait) at work. I highly recommend both. I fortunately found each one on CraigsList just as I needed them. Ergotron has a couple of triple monitor mounts for the desk you might check...

    1920x1200 worth the upgrade?

I really don't think it's worth the update. Finding 1920 x 1200 monitors that don't break the bank right now is pretty difficult as it is. In the ~$250 range, you're limited to the 27.5" Hanns-G/Hannspree/I-Inc models or a handful of 25.5" monitors. I use a Hanns-G and a Hannspree monitor at...

    Web Developers/Designers...

Anymore? People have NEVER wanted to program. Why do you think FrontPage made so much cash for MS back in the day? All those JavaScript cut&paste sites from the 90's and early 00's have been migrated to a standard, cross-browser, easy to implement series of jQuery plugins. And who backs...

    Any new 27" 1920x1200 ?

I've got a 28" Hanns-G and a 28" Hannspree hooked up to my laptop. No problems with either. They're each about 1.5 years old. Many co-workers have the same monitors or one of the 28" I-Inc versions. What problem did you have that you had to RMA yours? The only problem we're having is finding...
