Yeah I'll definitely look into the quad-core. And it looks like the Corsair PS is at a pretty decent price right now (with rebate), so I'll stick with that.
But otherwise, everything looks good? No major changes anyone would make?
So I shipped my computer to my new place out of state, and they dropped it/otherwise destroyed it, and I was able to drag $600 out of them through the claims process (which I'm OK with - it was a 5 year old machine I had built back when I started college). So now its time to build it anew...
Anyone think its safe to buy the L90D+ again? I'd really like to buy one - its a great monitor at a great price - save for the vertical line thing. Its been a while since people have been having the vertical line issue - you'd think the problem batch of panels would be done by now.
All right I'm going to try to explain this as best I can. When playing DVDs via my DVD-R drive (its a Lite-On SOHW-1693S), I hear a really annoying whining noise through the speakers behind the sound of the DVD itself. It is a noise very similar to the high-pitched whine the actual drive makes...
hot damn!
That thing had better bolt right into the mobo tray or something so it doesn't rip right off of the socket.... and I thought the 7000-Cu was big :D
the keyboard is definitely the easiest part to replace on a laptop. It's usually just a matter of a few screws to remove the plastic cover by the keyboard, lifting it out and undoing the cable from the mobo.
