some time ago i bought a arctic accelero Xtreme plus II for a gtx480 that was overheating in one of my folding rigs.
when i removed the cover to install the cooler i found the 480 was packed with dust,i removed the dust and the 480 now runs about 70 degrees, so i didnt install the arctic...
i just had a gtx660 die on me , its 15months old, came from the egg w/ 3 yr. limited mfg. warranty.
it was a dedicated folding card and at sometimes may have been run a little hot,low 90's.
is it worth my trouble to try to get gigabyte to replace/repair it?
is it a hassle dealing w/gigabyte...
all day i have been getting 403 forbidden to access

got a gigabyte gtx660ti, put it in my ip-35-e , a pci-e2.0 board, until i can get a pci-e 3.0 board.
drivers wont install, i get "this graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware" message. in the device manager i only see " standard vga graphics adapter"

my ip35-e does the same. its a fairly common glitch on the ip35's. supposedly a bios update will fix it. there is plenty posted on the web about the double boot and cold boot issues on ip35.

my old a8n has been sitting under my desk, oc'd a bit (2.4), clogged with dog hair, folding 24/7 with a dead nb fan for a few years here in az. i love that board. It sure can take the heat and not miss a beat.
