some time ago i bought a arctic accelero Xtreme plus II for a gtx480 that was overheating in one of my folding rigs.
when i removed the cover to install the cooler i found the 480 was packed with dust,i removed the dust and the 480 now runs about 70 degrees, so i didnt install the arctic cooler.
i now have a 7970 that is running hot, looking at it when its running one fan is running slower then the other and temps have climbed into the 90's.
i want to use the arctic cooler on the 7970.
the spec sheet says it fits a 6970 , 7970 was not released at the time i bought the cooler. so i am wondering if it will work on the 7970?
or could i just replace the one slow fan ?
