These are just my opinions (coming off Nec LCD 3090WQXi professionally calibrated).
If you are serious about photo editing, you will:
- control the color temp of your room lighting
- get a monitor hood
- matte (or at worst, semi-matte) displays only. You understand this after few hundred...

Looking for a display that would be ideal for watching 24P original source material.
Requirements:
- 1920x1080 material
- good viewing angles, good color (IPS preferred, VA possible, TN out of the question)
- capable of inputting and 24P film material from a HDMI/DisplayPort source

I've been waiting for a decent slate for ages, but HP is not that.
My reasons:
1. Glossy screen is an utter fail for reading anything for longer durations. Yes, I could alleviate that with a new matte screen protector.
2. Screen resolution is way too low. 1366x768 should be the bare...
Did you ever get this fixed?
I have the same board, but can only get resolutions up to 1600x1200 out from any output (HDMI, DVI, VGA).
And yes, my display is 2560x1600 and the cable is dual link capable (all pins there) and tested with GTS8800.
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing...
Eh, was too tired. meant to write 120Hz.
Good to know that Samsung rep has at least mentioned there's something in the works.
I think I'll just skip the 22" 1680x1050 120Hz generation in wait for the 1920 panels.
I've been looking at the 22" 1680x1050 100Hz TFTs, but that form factor and resolution is bit too little for me.
So, those of you who follow the panel scene - has there been any talk about doing a 24" 1920x1200 @ 100Hz for gaming and 3D use? I believe this might still be within the specs of...
Logitech Illuminated is supposed to be decently quiet. More so than Logitech UltraX flat, according to some reports. Both are 'laptop' type keyboards.
You could also venture into silentpcreview.com forums. Those ppl are serious about quietness.
I've been looking for a similar keyboard myself...
Perhaps, but their recent 23" and 30" are getting quite bad rap in the forums:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6991614
They've changed 'something' in their manufacturing line and the results speak for themselves.
I'm not sure either, but at least the usually accurate Prad.De is reporting H-IPS for LCD3090WQXi:

I'm almost ready to order one, but will wait till somebody gives 1st impressions and measures one unit.
Proper scaling => lots of additional processing delay (i.e. "input lag").
If you value low processing delay, get the HP or 3007 Dell.
If you value IMG quality, get the new Nec (or Eizo).
If you value a compromise, get the new Dell.
IMHO, YMMV, etc.
A few were: Nec RDF225WG comes to mind now. Possibly one Quatographic or Barco, can't find data now. They were rare/expensive though.
Yes, in print design a larger color gamut (approx. ISO coated for example) can be beneficial if used properly.
OS X uses normal graphic card LUT changing...
