    Best Waterblock for Threadripper sTR4

What's the best waterblock for a 2950X? I'm running a Corsair XC9 and my temps go high under load with thick 360mm and 120mm radiators. Radiator temp is never very high. Looking for something that covers the TR better, but I've seen some blocks for the TR that underperform. Recommendations...

Are Redundant PSU Adapters a Thing?

I'm looking at creating a redundant ATX PSU using "Dell" 750/1100w 12v PSUs for r620/r720 servers. The Dell parts are like $25/ea for 750w. Anyone here interested in prototypes? Backplane would take 3 PSUs for redundancy and fit in an ATX location (but would be somewhat deeper) and would...

    AX1200i Repair / Common Failures?

Mega, unfortunately it was all I could afford when I went to buy one. Usually I buy SeaSonic platinum units. I'm looking for repair info not PSU buying advice. AX1200is have a high failure rate according to some googling. Having a few oscilloscopes I think I'm comfortable getting into...

    AX1200i Repair / Common Failures?

Does anyone have any pointers where to start looking for failures in these PSUs? I got a refurb, it died just barely within warranty after purchasing from Micro Center but COVID hit and now it's just sitting there like a lump. I bought another one from MC, it was dead out of the box. I don't...

    WTB: 1xWATERBLOCK FOR GTX 1080 Ti (Reference), 1xGTX 1080 Ti (Reference) pref w/ block, 2xQuadro P400/P600/P620/P1000 or GTX 1050/1650, 4x4-8TB Disks

Looking for a waterblock to put my 1080Ti in the loop, no preference as to manufacturer. Also looking for Pascal-based Quadro, GTX 1050 (Ti or plain) would be OK. Would of course take a 1650 or P1000 at the right price, my Plex server needs transcode assist! Could use some disks, running out...

    2 Intel Optane 905P 480GB BNIB

Might be a bit of a tough sell considering you can get the M.2 adapter version for $515 with proof of purchase in your own name -- and Intel has been a bunch of )@*$^%s about that recently, apparently. I ran into it myself when I RMA'd a 750 AIC (I could have obtained a reprint of the receipt...

Could you do $500? I'll take it if so

    EVGA GTX 980 Ti (2)

Actually you still owe me shipping, and I'm not trying to scam anyone. You're paranoid and have called me several dozen times even with my phone being broken, I can download the logs via adb to show it. You also flip flopped 100 times before I had them boxed up. They're sitting at the UPS...

    10GBe Mellanox issues?

PCIE x4 is not an issue. If you're getting slowdowns it's probably due to the OS. Try using iperf to test speeds instead of SMB. Also, your firmware is old, update it to the newest or second newest one.

    10GBe Mellanox issues?

10GbE fiber is no different, though you should really use OM3 (Aqua) over OM2 (Orange). You can't connect 10GbE to a 1GbE switch. Just connect the machines to each other.

    10GBe Mellanox issues?

What switches? 1GbE switches will not use/accept SFP+/10GbE adapters. I use ConnectX-2s extensively.. can you check for packet errors? Are they running hot? Is there anything in the event log?
