Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
My PC has been working for years now with minor upgrades (a new video card 2 months ago), but suddenly- without warning or reason- POST hung on hardware check, specifically the CPU ID. After giving it a quick check, reboot, and swapping the RAM, the PC will now not even post- the monitor...
For an upcoming build, I play to use my PC to watch movies. As such, I'd rather not have a loud whirring noise coming from my DVD Player, but I'd also like to have the convenience of a Burner. Any advice for a DVD Burner that won't interrupt my movies?
I would go with something like the MSI tuner above, but how do the 3rd party Theatre 550s compare to the original ATI TV Wonder Elite. Is the $50+ more worth it? Is there any differance in image quality between the ATI & 3rd Party cards at all?
Well... I kinda miss-led with HD Tuner... I only need an SD one. I can't seem to find a good "Theatre 550" (or another chip with better quality) tuner to work with WMC05. I'm also concerned about how the picture will appear on my 1680x1050 screen...
Any suggestions are very welcome!
Simple Question: Which is better, the ATI AIW X1900 (this) or a TV Tuner (ex:this) + random $300 videocard (ex: this)?
Hard Answer: The PC ( w/ MCE2005) will be primarily for TV (and movies), as well as light gaming on a 1680x1050 screen. Quality and feature are paramount, as well as input...
This PC won't function just for movies/TV/music, but will also function as my main rig for the next 2-3 years (which includes any DX10 that might come out, I'm also interested in some upcoming games later this year that look to be intensive). Since I will have this PC well into Vista, I'd like...
I’m planning my first build right now, but I have a feeling I’m making my PC ‘too good’ for my needs; I could use the money in other areas of my life. I plan on it being a media-PC: Lot’s of movies & TV, but some games (mostly older, UT04 or Civ4). Basic list of...
Which would be the best board for overclocking? The A8N5X or the A8N-SLI Premium?
I would hook up an Opty 170 + Tt BigTyphoon, but no SLI. I would go for the 5X, but I haven't heard anything about it's overclocking abilities. I'd like to utilize my DDR500 RAM to it's fullest, plus more!
I have reached an unfortunate dilemma. I've looked into the market for a wireless keyboard/mouse combo; after looking through a few reviews, I decided on the Logitech MX3100 (against the MX5000, I don't have any Blue Tooth devices, nor do I plan on getting any). However, I couldn't find the...
"btw, i don't know what defects you are talking about. Mine has zero defects and no dead pixels"
From the 1000+ post thread:
-Dark Componant Input
-Buzzing Noise from power
-Minor Backlight Bleed
-Dark Center when not off-angle
-"Horrible" banding
I have to make a difficult choice for an upcoming build. I have to choose between the Gateway FPD2185W and the ever-popular Dell 2005FPW. I would use the screen for general use, movies, TV (via tuner), and casual gaming (low response times do not bother me); but does the higher price (and...
They wouldn't, I suppose. I'm sure an exception will be made where either (a) You just loose the $, or (b) They refund your $. I have not had much experience in the treachery, if any, of the program.
