Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
^ one of the reasons why i posted. Someone had mentioned they had 10 bpc option now in the control panel for their "Over 1 Billion colors" Samsung monitor and I was wondering if this option was available (and properly implemented) on the SUHD sets.
The 7000 series I heard some time ago had a...
Wow, lots of progress since I last posted. Looking great, especially that Cryorig C7 review (kinda late on that one I know). Still can't wait until release.
Thanks for that z0ne, kinda thought as much.
As I said, this is a set I can be happy with some time, and if that doesn't fit with your agenda here tough. Look it's real easy, "useless" questions or not (from anybody), if it bothers you...move along (yeah it's that easy), but I can tell you're...
lol, who pissed in your cheerios this morning? Did I say I needed 10 bit? No. All I wanted was a simple yes or no and/or proof to satisfy my curiosity. I'm happy with the set as is, but if you have some chip on your shoulder then that's your thing. Question still stands to anyone kind enough to...
Thanks for the response Killahurtz.
A member over at EVGA forums had this to say on the subject:
"HDMI 2.0 does not support 4:4:4 10 bit color at 2160p at 60hz. Secondarily, pretty much every game (Alien Isolation being the sole exception I can think of) out there and almost all...
I did a quick forum search, but didn't find an update to this yet. For those running their TV off an nvidia gpu (970 or above), are any of you given an option yet (in the latest drivers) to choose anything above 8 bits per channel for color depth output?
Also, was it determined that the 7000...
I guess this would describe my situation pretty well then. I just bought up a new 2015 55" 4k Sammy, and with all the "lag options" set on (not using game or pc mode and using auto motion plus) and don't notice any delay in on-screen reaction in any game. Of course as one member pointed out...
Wow, thanks for that correction Ziran. Hopefully that clears up those questions.
But to be clear, since these TVs do have a 120Hz panel, what would actually be necessary for it to accept a 120Hz input at any resolution? Upgraded Hdmi 2a ports? or complete redesign?
^ AFAIK, There are currently no actual 120Hz 4k TVs out there. That 120/240 CMR specification is not the panel refresh rate, but internal CPU processing rate, which is used only for interpolation settings.
This reply, which was accepted by rtings, can better explain it...
I stated my opinion on this a few posts back, but 3 ft from a 55" is seriously at the limit where you actually have to turn your head to see the corners of the screen lol. For me, this makes anything to do with desktop use and movies ridiculous. However, it is true that the closer you sit the...
Well, having read a few users here now saying they sit only 3 ft or so from their huge 55"+ screens made me laugh a bit since it kind of reminded me of my first monitor I bought that was a 14" 720p screen. To feel more "immersed" I stuck that thing less than a foot from my face to play hl2 and I...
Finally, someone else who supports AMP for gaming! I'm on the 55" JU7100 myself, but with respect to varying opinions and just hard facts, all this talk of input lag to me is just really over the top (or just for really sensitive people). I am not that old (I like to think) but I do play many...
