    I'm using a Thermalright ultra 120 extreme on my intel e6850 cpu on stock clocks. On idle my temp is at a steady 45c. I was wonder if 45c idle was good for this cooler. I want to know if I should take off the heatsink and reset it.

    The best air cooling for the 8800s would have to be the thermalright HR-03 heatsink. Make sure when you buy this that you have enough room. Also make sure to buy a 92mm+ fan to mount on it. ROFL beat me to the punch,,,

    only way to find out is to use a power supply you know works and can handle your system. If that doesnt change anything it might be your monitor
