So there is some new bios updates for the 680i mobos so that they can run 45nm CPUs. I was just wondering how well these updates are working. I have heard of many people running into problems. No video booting up, crashes, bricked mobos, etc. So I was just wonder if people are have any success with this update and have you tried running a 45nm CPU after flashing your bios. I would also like you know if anyone has done this bios flash on an evga 680i 122-CK-NF63-TR mobo and had success running a 45nm CPU. I would really like to know if this works because if it does I would like to use an e8400.

Thanks ahead of time for any info :)

If heard alot of success getting them to run, but its been a mixed reaction for overclocking. Its what lead me to just keep my Q6600.
I think you'll be fine using that, because it seems like your one of the smart ones and didn't buy a Q9450 and was wondering why it didn't work
