    I would take a look at the M-audio q40s.Can get them for 115 from B&H right now.Heard they are rather fun headphone.M50s are also good as already mentioned.The Shure srh750DJ are also one to take a look at.Around the same price as the other two and have some nice bass.Comfort might be an issue...

    Actually a good CMOY amp is powering them.Though it might not be bringing out the full potential of them they still sound awesome.Though even with the cmoy it will put him over budget.Guess the 250 Ohm version would be worth a try.I would avoid the 32 ohm versions.

    Funny you mention that monitor cause my cousin has that one.Its certainly not bad.Its got pretty good colors from what i can tell.Not sure about the black levels though since i haven't really done proper tests with it.I actually wouldn't mind getting an Asus monitor since i usually hear nothing...

    Yeah i was checking out that Samsung.And it seems nice but according to DigitalVersus the Acer beats it in both color acuracy and contrast.2 of which are my main criteria.But thanks for the recommendation.:)
