Both Asus VG23AH and Eizo FS2333 use very light light coatings. Asus is semi-glossy and Eizo is semi-matte. The Eizo is faster in response times and input lag. The Asus has the passive 3d and is cheaper. I own both and both are great. I currently use the Eizo though. The Asus is a backup or for...
I would only know by looking at specs and if 'palate of 1.06 billion colors' is there you have 10-bit on board. Otherwise all 8-bit at 16.77 million. In practice I can't confirm better or worse. But banding is pretty nonexistent. Much better than my LG AS-IPS. S series Flexscan are what you were...
Yes marketed that way but it is a great graphics monitor as well. I only game 10% of my time on the computer. It has the 10-bit lut (EV does not and EV can't be HW calibrated like the Foris) It is seriously hard to ever see banding in anything even low res content. Also has incredibly granular...
So why would prad rate the fs2333 as very good for gaming AND hardcore gaming and the EV only good for gaming and satisfactory for hard core? Even looking at the charts there is no reason for such a difference in the end ratings. Not asking you to speak for prad, just asking in general.
Yes for the most part. Look for a fast VA. They are not as fast as IPS or have models with lower input lag than IPS/ PLS but for all the points you want you will need to find the fastest VA you can. TN won't cut it for the colors or angles. They all can have backlight bleed similar or even worse...
23"ers under 300 can happen easy enough. 27" ers over 300 can happen. I think you are in a bit of a quandary here though as HForum tends to be snooty. So maybe ask like you are looking for the best this or that not just an ordinary medium priced blah blah. I got bored reading but feel for you...
I don't know of any mass market IPS panels that do that statically after calibration. The fs233 is listed at 1000:1 as most are but unlike others it actually delivers 940-960:1 after calibration while others are at 750-850:1. Only 2 that I know of can hit even 1050:1 after profiling. You can...
The fs2333 in a well lit diffused room can have very good perceptible black levels. Not using a measuring tool of course as we know it is ~900:1 but the AG coating and reaction with the light gets pretty darn velvety for an IPS/ PLS to my eyes.
Anyone can have bleed. Just because you don't and I don't doesn't mean they don't. Every mass market screen is subject to lemons and bad manufacturing and quality issues that slip through. I do agree though that people mistake what is glow and what is bleed and what is anything really;)
I have...
PLS. No lottery. Everything I have seen is PLS only. Samsung. LG can't get anywhere near the low lag and the close up inspection of the pixels shows the common shape of PLS. It is advertised as 10-bit lut/ 8-bit output. Better gradients than any 8-bit I have had so even if it is 10-bit to 6-bit...
They could fix the overshoot in the 'advanced' overdrive setting. They could give us OSD controls on the actual monitor. They could add an AT-W polarizer to crush the 'IPS glow'. They can make improvements. I probably wont buy another for a while as I sit on display's for at least 3 years maybe...
