Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I just got the x700pro 256mb by ATI and the mobo isn't detecting it at all. XP(pro) can't find a driver for the VGA controller either. I updated the intel chipset drivers hoping it would change something but hasn't changed anything yet. There are no updated drivers that I found on Abits website...
I was wondering how i get the rest of the thermal pad off? I just put on the arctic cooling vga silencer on my 9700 pro and i think its not completely touching the gpu because of the excess thermal pad. I have tried using pliers after i heated it up and it wont come off and i tried using...
I was actually just looking there. Since Arctic Cooling actually ditributes directly to them I am pretty sure they are trustworthy, It's just that I want to get started on my OC expedition hopefully today heh :).
Heh, guess I'm still a noob to computers afterall :). Didn't realise PSU's had such a huge factor in overclocking. I'll defenitly be getting a new one soon.
I'm in need of an Arctic Cooling VGA Silence and it seems to me that newegg is out of stock of them. I don't really want to go to a different site besides newegg and also I'm impatient and don't want to wait or pay for shipping. So basically im looking for a shop in Orange County, CA that sells...
Thanx for the suggestion. I was looking on newegg and found the Thermaltake Extreme Giant 3 VGA Cooler. Is this jsut over kill for my card is it worth the money? Thanx again.
I did a forum search and didn't really find any specific answers for what I was looking for.
1st: What vga cooler should I use for the my card? I heard that the vantec Iceberq 4 is good for the 9600 and 9800 but not specifically the 9700.
2nd: Can you make the 9700 into a 9700xt? Is that...
Figures that my motherboard isn't compatible. But when speedfan said the same thing I was worried. Underload in Hardware Monitor 3 it gets to around 55C so I should be ok. Thanx for the help guys.
Btw, is the HSF i mentioned good for a budget? I'm not worried about the sound.
Setup:
AOpen AX4G-N
2.4 Northwood not OC
Stock HSF
I am a little worried right now because I installed MBM and it is telling me my CPU is running at 96C and my case is at 74C and the CPU kernel is at 74C.
I'm assumed this was a wrong reading since the tempature monitor that came with...
