Does anyone know how to get my OC settings to activate upon startup using ATI tray tools? It's getting annoying to have set them manually everytime I reboot.
I'm using tray tools because it has fan controls, which is nice because my system can be silent when the card is not under load...
Haha, turns out it was a driver conflict! I ran driver cleaner and reinstalled the ati drivers, now I get expectable performance from BF2 (considering I only have 1 gig of ram).
This is my system currently:
2500+ Barton OCed to 3100+
1 Gig OCZ Ram
80 Gig WD (BF2 is installed here)
250 Gig Hitachi SATA
ATI Radeon X800 XL
I'm currently running BF2 with
NO dynamic lighting
NO dynamic shadows
NO AA
LOW Texture Filtering
LOW Effects
the rest on MEDIUM...
I don't know if this topic goes in this section, but I just got a ati X800 XL and I was excited to play BF2 on high settings. But when I try it out, I got an average of 17fps.. So I set it to medium settings with no shadows and no AA, and I got an average of 25fps..
I tried HL2 and it ran...
I have no idea if my lian li pc-7 plus is TAC case.
I've been priming it to heat it up and it seems that the system cool much slower than when I had an inlet fan installed. Interesting.. Like the physics lesson, there is no or very little heat exchange.
There is a pleathora of different opinions about what the best configuration for pc case airflow is. The general rule I've used is intake in the front, exhaust in the back. But I've read on endpcnoise.com that exhaust fan only will cool better and produce less sound (link). Is this a worthy...
