So I'm basically trying to get this setup transitioning smoothly
Input Director doesn't seem to allow me to place the server between the two slave screens, and I couldn't get Synergy working correctly either. Does anyone run a similar setup and can offer some advice? Thanks!
Sorry for being vague, I've never really built a server before so I don't really know how beefy the hardware needs to be, but the budget is around $800-1000, with a bit extra for some backup drives. We haven't come to a consensus on an asset management program yet, but if I had to choose I'd...
A bit of background first:
Some other artists and myself want to create a small local studio and start freelancing(fun times ahead in this economy!). We cannot afford to rent actual space, so we are going to work out of our apartments. What I'm trying to do is come up with an ideal asset...
The short of it is I'm working on and installation in a gallery, and I would like to be able to project an image that is about the size of a standard A4 sheet of paper. Problem is the only projectors available to me don't focus well until they are about 3-5 feet away from whatever surface they...
Ok, sorry about the vagueness, been busy with work, but this is the case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811292003
Getting inside, there are no distinguishing labels on the PSU itself that I can see.
Well, embarrassingly enough, I think my psu is some 450-500w thing that came with my case. I don't overclock or use any really high-end components so the wattage shouldn't be a problem, but I can't speak to it's reliability.
Ok this makes no sense, but miraculously after I tried that and reconnected the power to my mobo, and then when I tried to power my machine up...it worked. Now I'm wondering if I overheated something...?
Does this sound like a blown power supply? How do I test for sure, barring swapping to a new PS immediately, since I don't have one lying around? I was just playing a game of left 4 dead and bam, complete shut off, and now when I try and power back on, absolutely nothing happens, no POST, no...
I bought a cheapo DVD drive for a secondary system, so I popped out the old CD-Drive and put the DVD-Drive in it's place, booted, and got this:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:

I've got a little switch a bought a while ago(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122029) that's been working great till I tried to connect my girlfriend's Vista desktop. She cannot connect to the internet while my machine is on, and visa versa. If I shut down and power...
