    X2. My evga 970 ssc runs cool also. It is nice with the standard profile that shuts the fans off for silent mode. With that said I went ahead and made a custom fan profile to keep it nice and cool while gaming. Still the fans only get around 55% and my temperature is around 55C.

    I got my gtx ssc from Newegg last Wednesday. Has the new bios. Fans shut down while I am just looking at Web pages. Nice and quiet.

    I am surprised how small the new cards are. Just replaced an R9 290 with an EVGA 970 SC and it is like 2 inches shorter and lots lighter.

    I am thinking about doing kinda a side upgrade. currently have a reference R9 290 and just want to try Nvidia and considering the Gigabyte 970. Is there any difference between the 2 cards currently offered by them, other than the clock speed? thanks!
