    HBA for NAS box

    I own a Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 and it works fine, my setup with it was a windows 7 machine with flexraid installed. I went to use this card in my freenas build and it is not compatible with freenas. I ended up buying a LSI 9211-8i and flashed it to IT mode for freenas and it also works great.

    After reading just one of those posts and seeing people only get +5 on the core with +500 memory instantly made me close it and stop reading anything you posted. Because that is amateur at best. You will see better OC's at lower memory clocks without doubt.

    Of course I bought the TOP version to OC, but even without adding my own OC the Asus will probably out do your 1270 boost clock. What exactly do you base your in depth knowledge of the Asus cards performance on exacty? Obviously you don't use the 10/10 TPU review lolz.

    Well the one I returned did not. I didn't even get 1200. But lucky for me my TOP is going to without doubt. I read so much bad stuff about OC'ing the gigabyte its a huge hit and miss scenario. I am hoping that is not the case on the Asus. I will know soon!
