Wow! Thank you so much, guys. That's a lot of resources and info. I appreciate it. Some forums truly suck! And then some, truly come through...
I will work on the info and do some related research.
Meantime, anything that runs about $100/TB will be too painful to achieve at the moment. I need...
I have one 10TB drive, 6x 8TB drives, 4x 6TB drives, and 2x SSDs.
I might later consider one backup-related RAID for the system SSD.
I am also hoping in the near future that I would populate more SSDs and some 16Gb/s SAS drives in my system. And maybe some M.2 devices...
But while we are at...
Hi,
I found myself in need of a SAS expander card to accommodate my Z590 series motherboard that I am running an audio workstation with. Which only comes with 6 HDD Bays.
I am not going to RAID. I need 6 ports. So they are gonna be 12 total with my MOBO. They should support at least 8 TB...
Hi, I have not experienced the errors so far, after reducing my HDMI cables with an extension plug to a single one.
But, I have received a response from Asus service that claiming I would not get those errors due to an HDMI cable error.
As disappointing as this sounds, I have one single hope...
Hi, yes I meant iGPU...
I was using an HDMI extension thingy and when I removed it and connected with a single cable I was able to boot.
But my main concern is to know if the cable is bad would I get the errors? The whole shabang: Beeps and the white light but since the POST is completed no Q...
Rog Maximus XIII HERO
It's a simple but very crucial question for me. This has been happening for a while now!
I had bend CPU pins, thus I got the VGA error. (One long three short beeps and white light)
I had the motherboard RMA'ed, fixed. And occasionally I am still getting the same errors...
Also, all my parts are compatible. I did my research! Matter of fact, both Asus and Corsair gave me their blessings personally. Asus put some 128 GB Corsair rams that higher than 2333 MHz into their compatibility list after my request. The video card is also listed as a compatible device.
I...
Hello,
I rebuilt my workstation from 10 years old P9X79 WS to a couple of months old ROG MAXIMUS XIII HERO coupled with an 'Intel i9-11900K', 'Corsair VENGEANCE® LPX 128GB (4 x 32GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 ' and an 'Asus GTX 1660Ti...
The reason I have a new build is that towards its last days...
You mean upgrade the rear exhaust fan or the front fan or both? (both are stock fans)
And the side panel fan I mentioned should be intake right? Remember though, I have 2x120mm intake artic fans also on the side and they blow directly onto the bottom HDDs.
No, the stock fan I mentioned is the case exhaust fan on the rear. (Cooler Master)
The artic 120mm one is the one I added... No room at the bottom I do have room for 2 x 120mm fans on the side panel. but they are not aligned with the top HDDs...
