I'm running OSX 10.3.8 on a 17" Powerbook. I run an small business, and I bring it with me to work for my personal use.
I have an XP PeeCee with an HP Deskjet 882C hooked up to it via USB at the shop. The PeeCee is connection to a Bellsouth (Netopia) DSL modem / router. I connect to the...
Photography has always been a hobby of mine. I've got a nice Minolta SLR camera and a goodie bag of lenses and such to go with it.
Currently, I'm looking at getting a decent digital camera. I'm not looking to replace my SLR, I'm just looking for a good snapshot camera that I have some manual...
This post is from my 17" powerbook. I got it in December, and I'm hooked. I'll never switch back to PC. I've worked on computers for a living for a while, and even though I know them inside and out, I hate 'em. I switched because I was majoring in Graphics Design and had to have a mac...
Sarafi recently has been crashing often and responding VERY slowly at times. I have no idea what could be causing this, as it happens even if I reboot and run nothing but Safari. OSX on a G4 Powerbook. Any ideas???
I personally love PSP. It's a hella fast, easy to use program. It's also easy to learn. I used it for a lot of things like website design and such that most people would do in photoshop. It can run on a ghetto computer, you can teach a chimp to use it in a few minutes, and it's fairly...

I'm using Maya 5, if it makes a difference.
I'm fairly new to Macs still. I've got a powerbook G4 running OS X 10.3.2.
I've had some problems with some video files. Some just won't open. If I transfer the file over to my PC it opens just fine in WMP.
Here's another wierd thing I've run into on a few files: I open the file, and...
Well, I got it figured out. In OSX, all I had to do was go into Sharing under System Preferences and turn on Windows Sharing. I had no problem sending stuff from one computer to the other. I'm a PC user.. I'm used to everything being complicated. :-)
All my friends use Windows XP, but I have a powerbook. How can I share files and such with PCs on a network?
It's obviously possible, as there's a program called Dave out there that allows it. I've also seen somebody do something within Terminal (something to do with mounting) that allowed...
