I've had one one spontaneous reboot with my ASRock with my 5950x using the latest "official" BIOS. I upgraded to the latest beta BIOS, and I've been good since. (Been 24 hours now ...)
But I'm running @ 3200mhz, which is what my memory is rated at. From what I read the challenges are around...
Sometimes it triggers false positives if you're checking for a change on the first entry, as they seem to move around the location of the actual CPU (non bundled). Sometimes it's the first item, sometimes it's the last. But it's easier than each individual bundle.
However, when it triggers...
I used a browser plugin called Check4Change to refresh NewEgg every 30 seconds on the bundle page. Someone gave me a tip to check at 4pm PT; that's what I used to get my bundle on the 5950x.
My 5950x and new MB (Asrock x570 PG Velocita) arrived today! Everything works as expected, no hiccups! (One minor complaint about the MB is it doesn't have a PS/2 KB port. So I have to get a converter.)
The CPU worked w/o a BIOS flash. But the MB was one version behind, so I updated it...
I'd suggest doing what all the manufacturer's say: try the latest official BIOS. If it works well for you, great! If it doesn't, then try the beta version.
That's what I intend to do with mine when it arrives next week.
I suspect the name of BIOS version varies from brand to brand and what's important is the AGESA version? For example, for my ASRock (that I don't have yet), the latest non beta version seems to be 1.1.0.0 Patch C, with a current beta version that is to "Enhance AMD Ryzen 5000 CPU performance".
UPS finally picked up my 5950X today. I think a backlog on the UPS side delayed it by a day. My new MB and paste should arrive around the same time. Exciting!! :)
You may find that UPS My Choice (free) may give you more info. I've had great success using it to see more info than is available to the general public with the tracking #.
I've ordered twice from NewEgg in the last week, and the pickup from UPS for the first one last week took longer than expected, but it showed up at my door on time. The second, UPS still shows as not picked up, and I would think they would have picked it up by now. However I can imagine UPS...
I just ordered the ASRock X570 PG Velocita from NewEgg for my incoming 5950X. I chose it over my MSI X570 Unify on pre-order based on what I read on this thread and the specs ... and I'd like to get away from MSI.

My 5950x will be arriving soon and I require a new MB. Glad I saw this thread! I just ordered the Velocita off of NewEgg and cancelled my MSI order from Amazon.
