in reply to the query about the dd2 9600, yes it is expensive, and no i would never be able to afford it, but I am not particularly interested in ram of that high spec, unless it is around £150.00. also, thanks for the info on the chips used, as that is the ram i am getting now(hyperX 6400c4).

What do you mean absurdly expensive?? I can get Kingston HyperX 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5400C4 Low Latency Dual Channel Kit (KHX5400D2K2/2G) for £135.11 from a shop in England. Sorry to cause confusion, I should have stated the prices in my original post. BTW, are D9GMH or D9GKX known for good...
