    GTX 280 power requirements

These are all overclocked video boards, though, correct--? If I tick that checkbox, the PSU finder (didn't know it existed..hehe) pushes it to the 600 range. If you do push the power supply to far, what are the consequences? Does it just crap out or do you get failed components?

    GTX 280 power requirements

Heh, I was looking for a GTX 260, but I ended up ordering a 280 due to all the deals. My current rig runs a Q6600 with a Corsair 520. Do I need to be on the lookout for a new PSU? I've read conflicting things on the net...thanks

    8800GTS 320 upgrade

I'm probably looking 1680 x 1050 for the future monitor. I need that more than a video board--so the monitor will probably happen. The question is, will it require me to upgrade? I already have some issues with stuff like Bioshock in Win64.

    8800GTS 320 upgrade

OK, that's exactly the advice I needed. Thanks.

    8800GTS 320 upgrade

I've just been too busy to do much gaming lately, I want to be sure my box stays capable of it when I do have more time--I have a big backlog of stuff to play thru.

    8800GTS 320 upgrade

Hey all, I have a Q6600 with 4GB RAM. Primarily run Vista 64, although I do use Linux on it too. This is a gaming box, but it hasn't seen much gaming lately. I have an EVGA 8800GTS w/ 320MB VRAM. I am currently running an ImageQuest 19" LCD (1280x1024). With video board prices in the...

    Quake Wars is gold.

I for one am tired of these team based multiplayer games--bow many are genuinely fun? To get the most out of a battlefield type game, you really need a cohesive team--for any kind of casual gaming, it's crap...I don't like it, but there aren't many folks in our LAN group that have time for...

    First build in years

I have an x-dreamer II (i think), it's probably 3 years old...I have always hated it. It's loud, the lighting elements don't work well, and I have had grounding problems with it. I bought the parts for my new build this weekend, and I went with an Antec 900 (80AR from Compusa). As far as...

    Antec 900 noise

Actually, I pretty seriously considered the RC690 until reading some of the early reviews....doesn't sound as it is going to be as positive as I had hoped. :( Metal plated power button is a big turn off (static is a big issue where I'm at--I've had shock problems with my XDreamer...)

    Antec 900 noise

Hey all, I just ordered an Antec 900 ($80AR) for my new build, but I'm having a wee bit of second thoughts--any insight into the loudness of this thing...I've read as many reviews that say it is loud as I have that it is quiet. I'm coming from an Aspire X-Dreamer II, and I've always hated the...

l90D+ button problem, should I return?

The other thing, too...I could hold onto it now and RMA later (it does have three years) if it ever becomes a problem. I am fairly certain I am pressing it hard enough, but I may give it a shot with a small pencil or something--I notice that there appears to be a reset button on this...

l90D+ button problem, should I return?

Hey all, I have a dead button on my new L90D+. It's the "up" button. The panel itself is perfect, not a single dead pixel i can find...so, I'm not overly inclined to return it. I will never use the speakers, so turning up the volume doesn't mean anything. Only potential problem i can see...

    I got the LD90+

I just got mine, as well as a new leadtek 6800gt to go with it...dear lord that video board is a hoss...as for the LCD, I've only had minimal playing around with it, and I haven't tweaked anything (except for turning on Vsync)--I'm hooked up to DVI, and the amount of ghosting, while acceptable...

    Nvidia - VIA compatability

Yeah, if I had to do it again I'd buy one of the Nforces (they were behind the curve when I bought the MSI)--I can't say I've been overly happy with my motherboard--onboard audio has failed on both copies of it I've had, for starters

    Nvidia - VIA compatability

I bought a 6800GT last night, and someone warned me that I made a mistake as Nvidia and VIA motherboards (I have an MSI K8T Neo) have compatability issues. I've read a ton about the 6800s, but haven't heard this before. True? Not ture? Thanks.
