l90D+ button problem, should I return?

Hey all,

I have a dead button on my new L90D+. It's the "up" button. The panel itself is perfect, not a single dead pixel i can find...so, I'm not overly inclined to return it. I will never use the speakers, so turning up the volume doesn't mean anything. Only potential problem i can see running into is if I ever want to crank up the brightness/contrast (the default is 60%/60%, I believe)---I had to turn the brightness at least way down already. Is there any reason I should not just hold onto my panel?

hmmm......this is a tough choice. It seems like a small problem but could be a big one later on with adjustments. i think i would just use it and if it becomes bothersome, then return it. maybe give it some time to see if you can live with it.

I would. I didn't realize how crappy the buttons were on the l90d+ until I received mine, its a great panel but it just doesn't have the same solid feel as most the other monitors I've owned. You would need the up button to do signal switching I think, and make sure that you are pushing it hard enough since the buttons are a bit weird.
 
The other thing, too...I could hold onto it now and RMA later (it does have three years) if it ever becomes a problem. I am fairly certain I am pressing it hard enough, but I may give it a shot with a small pencil or something--I notice that there appears to be a reset button on this panel--anyone know what this is for?

It should definitely not take a pencil. The buttons arn't "large" but they are definitely not that small.

You might want to take it back to where you got it instead of RMA'ing and getting refurbed.
