Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have always worked with AMD builds and I don't know too much about Intel builds not to mention I've been out of the loop for the past couple years. I'm looking to build something that will be mainly used for photo and video editing and with a ton of disk space. I am willing to spend about...
Ok so the latest is that the comp now POST about 50% of the time. If it does POST then it will usually freeze soon after. I have removed everything except for one hdd, video card, ram...this didnt help at all. I tested the ram i have in another computer and it works fine. Also tried other sticks...
I just reset the RAM in the sockets and got it working for a while. Then I restarted one time and now the comp wont POST. After about 10 tries it will finally POST and go through the graphic with the option to enter BIOS. Then it just goes to a black screen with a blinking cursor as if there...
Ok I switched to a different PSU. The computer boots fine except for some cpu fan error (cpu fan is running just fine). However, something is making a clicking sound. Sounds like a hdd. This still seems to not make a difference.
The comp runs great until you do something that requires alot...
No luck with that. The ram was used on my previous system also so I believe it should be good. Dont know about the sockets however.
Any other suggestions? I would really like to narrow down the problem incase i need to RMA something.
Thanks.
Just put together a new build which at first ran great. It all started with the computer randomly locking up in windows forcing me to restart the system. Now it does not even want to POST. When it does POST all I see is a black screen and then the monitors tell me there is no signal.
I have...
I thought if it was a bad PSU then it would power up then shut down, and it would give me some kind of beep to show that it is not getting the correct amount of power.
I just built a computer. I am pretty familiar with the process and have built several others. When i turn the computer on everything seems to be getting power, but the computer does not POST. show any display, or make any kind of beeping sound. I have gone through several times and checked to...
I have done alot of reading regarding just about every component that goes into most computers and I know which type of component is best for certain things and whatnot, but alot of the time the most basic questions are never answered. For example, I could go on about why using an SLI video card...
Well i didnt think about that until now. I know there is no way anyone is going to trust some random guy to send them a computer. How do most people go about selling stuff if they dont have any refs?
I am selling my computer. I have put countless hours into perfecting this thing. It is built for gaming so if you are looking for an upgrade and all you use computers for is for checking e-mail and aim and whatnot, this is kinda overkill for that.
