    4K/UltraHD at half resolution?

Thanks for the feedback. Appears it's not ready for prime time yet. Monitors really should have a special scaling mode for half resolution then as it would solve these early issues. It would look exactly the same as a native 1080 monitor except for the fine 'lines' between the four pixels...

    4K/UltraHD at half resolution?

:( That's bad news. I wonder if the Dell 24" IPS i'm looking at is any better.

    4K/UltraHD at half resolution?

From what I read there are still many issues with using 4K resolution (Windows scaling, etc). But for example do the Dell Ultra HD displays at 3840 x 2160 support standard 1920x1080? This is exactly half the resolution (1/4 the pixels) so there should be no monitor scaling issues i.e. the...

Sandy Bridge adopters -- post your new build.

That's v. similar to the p182 build I'm considering! It should be very quiet. Is it?

    1155 vs 1366

No I meant a socket 1366 board from later this year, to be able to be used with future 1366 chips, if that's to be the new enthusiast standard (for a year or 2, lol). But then if they always need new chipsets anyway, then it's pointless...

    1155 vs 1366

Did I read right that LGA1366 comes later this year? If so, would it make sense to wait for that in hopes that future chips will stay 1366 for a while, therefore upgradeable with same mainboard?

    Continuous HD activity

My 3y old Maxtor 6L300S0 is continously doing stuff. I tried stopping all background pgms, file indexing off, SMART shows all ok, av/spybot scan, but still it flashes about once per second, CONTINUALLY. It happens even before XP really starts--sitting at the login screen it's still working...

    E2200HD Review, Part I

Yeah I was looking at this thread; why would I think there's anything else?! Where is the main review then. I went to Hardocp, which I had no idea about except for the tiny link at the bottom of the page, and it doesn't seem to be there. Anyway I get the idea...input lag is pretty low; thx...

    E2200HD Review, Part I

But which numbers are which? Which is the CRT and what's the avg. input lag relative to it? thanks. As for games, I'd just read that some won't support the 1920x1080 res...for all I know that's not even true.

    E2200HD Review, Part I

I don't think I'm considering this monitor anymore if some of my games aren't going to support its native resolution. Or am I missing something...

    E2200HD Review, Part I

Can you explain the numbers in the timer images? Are they compared to a CRT or what... Most interested in input lag figures. Thanks.

Trying to decide 22": Samsung T220, 2253 or?

Hi I'm looking for a gaming TN monitor and have narrowed it to these Samsung choices which are avail. locally: T220 $299 2253bw 279 2253lw 259 (What the hell's the diff. bet. lw & bw?) Seems input lag on t220 is lowest otherwise they're pretty much the same? Or should I really consider...
