I'd like to get one fairly high end 1440p monitor (Asus PG279QR, Asus 278QR, Acer XB271HU),

How does warranty transfer work? I found someone locally that will sell evga sc 1080ti for $500. He said I can stress test and return if I find any issues during testing so seems like a good deal.
I built an HTPC a few months ago and am currently running a Flex Raid setup with 3 x 2TB drives. Since one of the drives is a parity drive I have 4TB of usable space. Unfortunately, I'm already down to about 1TB of usable space. (400+ compressed Blu-ray movies and a bunch of long TV series...

I managed to snag an evga superclocked a few minutes ago while I was in class.
Well I talked with someone on live chat and they said they had no idea why shipping was so expesnsive, but they're having the appropriate department look into it.
