Just an update;
Ending up attacking the thing with a screwdriver, the black cover came off revealing a small metal screw that is stuck in the pcb, couldnt remove this so I gave up.
Booted the PC up in the morning out of sleep and happy to report the beeping is gone even with the temps...
No way to disable this sound alarm according to the manual, so it'll have to be ripped out. I should have done this ages ago lol.
Oh and thanks for the tip, I will try to find some pliers if possible.
This fan controller makes a beeping sound when it thinks the fans have been disconnected (in reality they're just spinning on low or off if the temps are cool enough).
Easiest solution for me is to just take out the thing that makes the sound, its a standard beep but its so damn loud.
Do any...
yeah this is what i thought, so i just wanted to know if dolby digital live with the astros+mixamp would produce better quality than dolby headphone with the stx+good cans.
i think the latter will be the better option so im looking into headphones now
Out of the two below which do you think would produce the best sound quality (5.1 movies/games mostly). Or is there no difference?
Pair of great headphones + Dolby Headphone setting
vs
Astro Headset + Mixamp + Dolby Digital Live setting
i know its a year late but can anybody give me a simple 4.4ghz oc for an i7 2600k, i used the auto tuner and its stable but it gave me a max voltage of 1.392 which i feel is too high even though its offset.
i'd just like an everyday 4.4ghz with a safe voltage and clocking everything down when...
Seem to be doing all my work on my laptop and using my monitor solely for games and movies.
If i were to upgrade, what is the best screen available for these two things?
Anybody have any ideas as to when we'll get to see this?
From what i can tell Dell usually out a new 30" every 2-3 years or so
- 3007WFP - 2005?
- 3008WFP - 2007 or 2008?
- U3011 - september 2010
So is it likely that they'll be a new one out later this year, if so i might as well wait and
see...
thanks for explaining all this man, both my 580s are running at pcix8 - do you think this could be causing some sort of slowdown in regards to bandwidth?
especially with my res and the amount of aa we're talking about, this could be the bottleneck.
ssaa is too taxing on most of the stuff im gonna be playing as its all pretty new, i have plenty of VRAM but the actual gpu is too slow (you mentioned shader throughput was bottlenecking it).
i think im going to stick with 16-32x msaa with trssaa instead of just 8xS.
surely 32x msaa+8xtrssaa...
