Help with cooling

so its already based on cpu temp. look in the corsair software, there should a way to set it between cpu and pump temp. icue did, under the profiles.
ps: yes its normal.
I don't see anything in options or profile in corsair software. Maybe this cooler doesn't have that option to switch between cpu temp and cooler temp?

Any reason for that? I imagine having fans @ 100% making a decent bit of noise.
These fans at max speed are not loud at all. I replaced the stock corsair fans with noctua. The stock ones that came with the cooler were actually kinda noisy on max.

I don't see anything in the video. Only see him changing fan curve but it doesn't show the curve being based on cpu temp or cooler temp?
when you click the fan and the little window opens the group drop down should have h100 or cpu.

Got it! Should it normally be set to the temp of the cpu? How much difference will fan speeds have on keeping cpu temps down my cooler fans are set to exhaust? Another thing I've noticed is opening certain apps the cpu temp will spike for a few seconds and ramp up the fans. I guess there is no way around that or should each fan curve point be closer in temp and only 100 to 200 increase in rpm? I've got 5 points 30,40,45,50,60 500 700 900 1100 1300

Thinking maybe it's best to just set a low mid high. So instead of 5 points I have 3. 30.500rpm 45 45 45 750 then 60 1300 seems to help with hearing the fans ramp up for a few seconds. Im having the same issue with my gpu fans ramping up in game not sure if fooling with the seconds of speed up slow down makes any difference?

set it flat 30% until 50c then ramp to 100% at 80c. that will stop the fan ramping with the temp bumps.

For GPU if using MSI AB you want to set a custom linear curve, that will stop the jumps.

Well when setting fan curve you can't cut out any points. So I just set3

What is a really good curve that cuts out the constant ramping up of fans lol ? Also for cpu fan speeds is there a point where fan speed does nothing to temps of the cpu? I've read that after 75 to 80%fan speed temps won't being down temps much

When I had my msi 2080 ti trio my curve was ~30% around 20-30C and 100% at 90C. It got steeper at the very end but typically never got above 70C and was still near silent. You just have to experiment some since the cards are all a bit different. I wanted to get stability @ 2ghz core and had to adjust the curve accordingly so it didn't throttle.

edit: Highly suggest using AB for GPU, it's the best of all of them that I've used.

Well I'm using the Asus suite 3 software that came with the mobo and it can also set curve for gpu. But it only allows for 3 points. I might install ab but this card even on max fan speed gets into the 64c range. If I bump the fans down to 75%it'll go past 70c. Highest ive seen it go was 74c. This is also in the dead of heat 100 degrees and the room the pc is in has a flat roof no insulation so temps are normally a bit higher than the rest of the house. Also when the ac kicks on the gpu never exceeds 63 lol I have the ac vents forcing air directly to the pc.

AI suite was total trash when I used it, just filled to the brim with bloat. I hope it has improved some. You can make a decent one with 3 points, try right clicking on the graph/line to see if that adds a point.

Why was it trash? I've also been using it for my over clock since I built the pc about 7 yrs ago. I always used to do all the bios stuff but got lazy and sometimes forget all the settings lol

Unreliable, tons of extra bloat. It's like most mobo manufacturer's software tbh. Spend more money on looking slick rather than actual usability and reliability. I typically use the bios profile save slots.

Does anyone else have issues with the corsair software not working after waking your pc up from sleep? I noticed today after waking pc from sleep that the fans were not responding at all to my fan curve nor to when I set them for maximum speed. I basically need to go into options and press restart service to get them to start following the fan curve!
