Destiny 2

Got a kindled orchid with outlaw and rampage today, added obsidian radiance to it and masterworked it. My fav hand cannon (thus far, i dont have ace or the new one)

I finally got a great roll on that kindled orchid myself. Kill Clip and Rampage. It's going to be in my rotation for sure. For grins I put Dragonfly spec mod on it, too.

I was walking around aiming down sights and I couldn't believe the damage it was doing like that. 30000 or whatever it was a pop. My only quibble is it reloads a tad slow but that's it. Nice gun.

Dumb question: If I decide to change mods on a weapon let me guess....I don't get to swap out but it's adios to the mod that was there? Lameness?

I'm not nuts. Watch out for this glitch.

I did notice people in YT videos were visible, loud, firing shotties... I have been doing this Mr. Stealth style. I guess I'll change tactics and hope for the best per the tips in this thread.

EDIT: Got direction to finally change. Do everything suggested in that Bungie forum link. If you do this quest and that directional never leaves the pit opening it's glitched. If it does change direction like it's supposed to and just did for me finally... you should be on your way. Will post when done.

EDIT: Got it! Last Hope is finally mine!

Did you have Dragonfly on the gun to begin with? Dragonfly Spec mod won't actually do anything unless you do, sadly.

And yeah, you can't pull mods off so.. ouch. That one might have been wasted :(

Bah. No I thought rather stupidly I was adding Dragonfly to the gun. I had wondered about it but wasn't sure. Oh well.

I'll keep it there until I earn another one somehow. I guess that will be black armory luck of the draw to get that? I think that's where those come from?

Aww that's sucks. Yeah, you buy them from Ada.

I had another Dragonfly spec mod in reserve.

Kindled Orchid with Kill Clip, Rampage, Rampage Spec added Mod, Obsidiance Radiance.

I'm impressed with it enough that I Masterworked it and it's one of the very few hand cannons that I feel is a worthwhile peer to Ace.

Right now I'm rolling with both this and Ace. Super fun. Last Hope is fun to use, too. It's very different. It's the "shoot from the hip" gunslinger special.

Completed the Last Word quest today.
FMETrxN.jpg

Decided to do the quest after seeing how it performs against Calus. Very situational obviously, but it's rare for a 'primary ammo' weapon to perform that well against end game bosses.

Didn't take too long, I had one 5.0 efficiency rumble game which added 50% to the quest, then quickplay for the rest.

Picked up the alternative skin for it from Tess, I think she'll have it until Tuesday's reset.

Bungie should never have ok'd the "lose progress" design of this quest, especially considering the unbalanced and random mess the pvp in this game is. But that's beating a dead horse now.

finally making progress in the crucible for the last word. Got up to 51% and decided to take a break while I was ahead.

Just got the last word, honestly I found the pvp parts pretty simple. Took 5 matches for the k:d step and 6 for the medals, what got me was waiting for the stupid hive rituals lol. That and I does like 6 times during the enkar show down at the end

You must be a very good pvp player.

Lots of the weapon quests do this. Malfeasance, some PvP shotgun, are good examples of this. The Last Word is the one I want most out of the bunch. The PvP shotgun I don't give a shit about. I think I'm nearly done with Malfeasance.

You must be a very good pvp player.
Not amazing but I normally get 1.5-2.0 kda. The medals were simple, I just watched for the worst player on my team and followed him around avenging his death lol.

Yep. I'm done with this game's shitty PvP. I've retarded my progress even further. The Last Word isn't worth it. Nothing is worth going into the piece of shit game mode that is Crucible. Everyone has unlimited shotgun ammunition but me, everyone's supers recharge insanely fast, (except mine) and due to match making logic that's beyond my comprehension I get lumped into groups where the other team is insanely good and mine is a soggy shit sandwich every time.

Nothing is worth this level of frustration. I may try again when Iron Banner comes back, but aside from that I'm never going into Crucible again. Its literally the worst balanced PvP system I've seen in any game to date.

I simply can't believe I took your VERY good advice and got this done before you did. Your advice was spot on.

I don't disagree with your assessment. I don't want to see Crucible again for a long time.

I finally just didn't give a damn and got lucky. Luck and attrition.

I was either using scoped Graviton Lance with your tactics or sometimes I just took Ace out or even my Subtle Calamity bow and just got lucky.

Precise kill headshots was what I went for. Come from behind...get the assists... NEVER stay alone. Ever. I hit my teammates in the back a lot getting stray shots. ;) I stalked teammates outright sticking to some of them like glue. It was obnoxious.

Is it possible to switch teams because I have had times where I wish I could have.

You mentioned some things that I'm not sure how they happen when I see them, either. Seemingly unlimited ammo for certain weapons (or at least a lot)... ever get shot through solid objects? Love that... fast charging supers... seemingly "extra layer of shields"... all kinds of stuff.

The matchmaking definitely needs some more work on PVP.

Last Hope is a fun gun to use and it's going to have its uses for me but I can't personally say it was worth it when I'm still using Ace the most and even this tricked out Kindled Orchid I've got is getting some nice use.

Ace is still the unquestioned king of at least the hand cannons in my eyes, pound for pound. Get a tricked out Kill Clip Rampage Kindled Orchid. ;)

I'm right there with you. I managed to get to 66% and got my ass handed to me every game after and dropped down to 16% I would take a break after losing 10% or so, come back gain 5 and lose 15

Like I have said, there is a certain amount of luck involved. I've back filled losing matches just to get farmed by some spawn camping cum guzzler with spectral blades before I can return to orbit or even alt-F4 the game. The unlimited ammunition for special weapons tends to come from stacking scavenger perks. You kill one guardian that drops special ammunition and your in business. Thing is, the finder perks don't work in Crucible but the scavenger perks do. Basically, if you want real success in PvP you have to really leverage the broken and unbalanced system in your favor. That's fine. That's just learning the game. My problem with this is that the gear that allows you to succeed is all dropped via RNG. So it's luck of the draw. I think that's bullshit in a competitive environment. The playing field should be level in order to highlight skill, not luck.

Its why this garbage is so broken. The people who have been playing a super long time have had more opportunities to get lucky with the RNG system and it handicaps everyone who isn't so fortunate. The weapon's are also horrendously imbalanced. Auto-rifles are still hardly what I'd call viable. Shotguns are over powered, sniper rifles are hit and miss depending on your perspective, but there are at least a few cases where a guardian can be one shot with a sniper rifle. The logic behind heavy ammunition distribution is frankly, bullshit and I think it should be removed in PvP altogether or a better mechanic put in.

I could go on and on about how fucking broken it is, but I'm done. I'm just not going to deal with it anymore. It's a shit show and its always been one.

9/10 times at least you and I tend to be in agreement on a lot of things around here. This is no exception. You don't need to say anything else. Trust me. ;)

I'll admit it - the ascendant challenge whipped my ass this week. Two different runs at it, and each run tried twice. Whoops.. Warlock soloing as a person who doesn't normally use swords blew. Oh well.

Spent a good hour in crucible with the last word and when you can get enemies in that sweet spot it absolutely destroys. Killed so many shotgun rushers with it, seems to pair super well with a sniper or scout rifle. ADS sucks for recoil on the PS4 but hipfire is great

Yes. That's definitely a strong suit for Last Hope. It's definitely something different.

Ascendant Challenged glitched on me twice. It was unbelievable. I beat it and the chest didn't show up... but I did get it. It was just that kind of weekend for me between the last step of the Last Hope quest glitching on me (see my earlier post about that and watch out!) and then that.

You have to carry the Relic Sword with you and follow Toland. Its a weird mechanic that doesn't appear in the other challenges.

After calming down some, I've had some more thoughts. One thing that really gets me about the PvP, is how every single match after my initial posts on the subject went so differently from the earlier matches I did. Even upwards through last night every match would start out fine. I'd get two or three kills pretty easily. Sometimes more. The match ALWAYS turns on my team and we get spanked each and every time. Almost every match I've ever been in since this fucking quest dropped was one that Shaxx should have invoked the mercy rule on. Each one rode the line just before that rule goes into effect. You can only get one shot by sniper riles, killed by bullshit like Telesto (and other shit I don't have) and watch your corpse get flung around by Jötunn so many times before you realize what an RNG crapfest Crucible is.

I still can't help but come back to the fact that supers are fucked up in Destiny 2 as far as PvP goes. I did a mayhem match on my hunter with Spectral Blades. I got in a fight with another hunter in spectral blades and we couldn't kill each other. It was absurd. I died because mine ran out first and he was pretty much invulnerable after that. An Ikelos shotgun at close range is about the only thing I've found that can take out anyone in their super quickly, and even then I almost never have enough ammunition to do it. It takes 4-5 shots depending on the super, and you start with two. Maybe I'm the unluckiest fucker in the history of Destiny 2, but it never matters what time I play, how long I play, what weapons I use, or even what game mode I use outside of Iron Banner. Every single time I end up on the worst teams imaginable. I've also noticed that the way I advised playing this game is pretty much how everyone plays now. So now I'm getting one shot by sniper rfiles capable of dropping a Titan at full health and shields with resilience mods damn near constantly. It even seems to happen through solid objects at times.

The PvE experience is one of the most challenging and rewarding I've ever seen. Missions like Whisper of the Worm and the raids are spectacular and fun. Its a shame PvP is just about the worst I've ever seen. I've done well in plenty of multiplayer PvP games and am usually competitive but I can't get anywhere in Destiny PvP. I won't deny that for whatever reason, I'm not exactly amazing at it, but the sad fact is that its an unbalanced mess. I might stand a better chance if I could ever get gear drops with scavenger perks for weapons I'd actually want to use in PvP. It also seems like any exotic without a quest associated with it that's worth a damn won't ever drop for me either. I only even know some of these exotics exist because of the collections menus and because I've been slaughtered by some of them in PvP repeatedly.

Totally agree. It's all nothing but random luck and attrition in PVP. I've resigned myself to it. Player skill helps but only to a point. It's a grudge job for me to do the weekly obligation and since I've been 650 for a while I'm starting to ease off on some of that. Last Hope burned me out on Crucible.

PVE? I honestly have no real complaints to speak of. This is where Bungie's 20 years of work on these kinds of games shines.

I'm surprised there's such vitriol for the PVP. I personally love Destiny's PVP. As someone who was here since D2Y1, it's massively improved. And now with TLW, PVP has become even more interesting now that people can't just ape you all day. The way people complained about TLW you'd have thought Bungie asked people to roll into Comp to get the quest done.

Granted, I have some complaints about the comp match making (I'm slowly and painfully grinding to Not Forgotten) but the gun play and feel are fantastic as well as rewarding.

Now QP has no SBMM as it's a total crapshoot but generally I've always done well (even if I lose).

I get it, PVP is not for everyone. But to claim that it's an RNGfest is just false (for example, Telesto and Jotunn are very easily avoided in PVP. Telesto not as much in the hands of a true PVP god, but chances are that PVP god woudln't use Telesto anyway. They'd probably just map you with Erentil). Honestly PVP is the only thing that keeps me playing D2 after I've done all the PVE stuff. If you want some tips or someone to play with in PVP feel free to hit me up :) My clan is always recruiting and looking for players to play PVP and PVE.

What difference does going into competitive mode make? Aside from match making, it's the same fucking unbalanced shit show that quick play is. A competitive mode should distill things down to a point where it is a game of skill and skill alone. It isn't.

With their most recent patch notes, Bungie admitted that the match making algorithm reeks of amateur hour. I never said anything about the gun play and feel of the game. Those things are what's good about the game.

Now QP has no SBMM as it's a total crapshoot but generally I've always done well (even if I lose).

I don't know what "SBMM" is. I'm guessing this is some reference to your valor rank or whatever the hell they call it.

I get it, PVP is not for everyone.

No it isn't. However, I have done fine and generally do very well in most FPS games. Battlefield games after BF2 not withstanding.

But to claim that it's an RNGfest is just false

I'm not claiming it. I'm fucking stating it as a FACT. I play the game. Gear has never dropped for me with perks that would help me recharge my super faster than usual, buff my super like celestial nighhawk and some other things do. I have never gotten enough gear with the shotgun scavenger perks to allow me to feed a shotgun to the point where I could use it effectively. The same is true for sniper rifles. I've put tons of time into the PvE game and even Iron Banner, Crucible etc. I tend to get gear with perks that are pointless as far as PvP are concerned. How is this NOT RNG? I've never gotten Telesto or Jotunn either. No matter what I do I tend to get the same shitty loot from the various loot pools. I'll get 47 Nameless Midnights or crap like that with bad perks. I've gotten weapons with crap on them like Firmly Planted and air assault together. How is this NOT an RNG problem? PvP should DISABLE all armor perks to level the playing field or its RNG dependent.

(for example, Telesto and Jotunn are very easily avoided in PVP. Telesto not as much in the hands of a true PVP god, but chances are that PVP god woudln't use Telesto anyway.

OK Mr. Expert, how do I avoid these weapons? I see them constantly. I've been killed by each many, many times. I also end up in matches where people have those few sniper rifles that can one shot guardians reliably all the time. How do I avoid this? How do I compete with people who have gear perks which allow them to feed these weapons consistently when I can't? How could I leverage those same weapons in PvP when I can't feed them?

I legitimately enjoy Iron Banner. I don't know what's different about it other than light levels coming into play. However, there are lots of other 650's in there so I don't see how that helps. I do well in that mode but no other. I'll try any tips you have to give but frankly, I don't think there is any way I'd be convinced that Crucible is anything but a giant unbalanced shit show. I think when you are someone who has a ton of play time, got in on the game early and have all this gear, the flaws aren't apparent when your winning all the time. When I've done well in games, I've not noticed issues until some knee jerk rebalancing changes how the game works and things you could do can't be done anymore.

If I didn't do well in Iron Banner or sucked at shooters in general, I could accept that I'm just shitty at the game. It happens. But as someone who started playing around Thanksgiving, I feel like I'm so far behind on the gear, armor perks, etc. that PvP will never be enjoyable because it isn't a level playing field.

Talking from a comp mode perspective only so keep this in mind. QP is not a competitive mode in my eyes. Getting a first pick with a sniper headshot takes skill. Pinching someone alone takes skill. Hitting a spectral blades with your suppression grenade takes skill. Getting headshots with a Chaperone takes skill.

Granted, there's some things that are bullshit such as going up against 4 OEM skating titans that just absolutely snowball you into hell and back.

With their most recent patch notes, Bungie admitted that the match making algorithm reeks of amateur hour. I never said anything about the gun play and feel of the game. Those things are what's good about the game.

Don't disagree. However the MM fix was only for competitive to tighten Glory matchmaking. Note that this is different from SBMM, see below.

I don't know what "SBMM" is. I'm guessing this is some reference to your valor rank or whatever the hell they call it.

SBMM means skill based match matching. QP was changed to be CBMM (connection based match making). So you can get matched with 6 of the best players in the world as a new player if you all lived close together for example. Or vice versa, you can get matched with the worst players in the world if Bungie determines that you would have the most lag free match.

If you've played consistently since Thanksgiving and haven't gotten scavenger perks then yes you are probably the unluckiest person in the world and I'm sorry your enjoyment of PVP is lessened due to scavenger perks not dropping (however, each season and consequent IB have had fixed rolls with said scavenger perks so unless you just recently started, you really should have picked those up). However, there are curated rolls for weapons at least that should have helped that RNG sting. Ace of Spades is still arguably one of the best hand cannons to use. Shaxx currently sells an amazing shotgun (energy rapid fire) with the probably the best PVP combinations. Last season? Zavala sold an extremely good Toil and Trouble (kinetic aggressive frame shotgun with the right perks). Iron Banner since this season has had great fixed rolls for Bite of the Fox (sniper). IB also had a great fixed roll for Claws of the Wolf (energy pulse rifle). Drifter still sells the great fixed Bygones kinetic pulse. The HC Trust is also a great 180 energy HC. Hammerhead from Ada bounties in general are fantastic. Sure you can get a god roll of perks but honestly, just having any Hammerhead is fantastic. Or thunderlord. So aside from perks, weapon wise, you have non RNG based options that are extremely competitive.

Also, you can very very easily duel someone with a sniper with AoS. That gun is stupidly OP. TLW also now lets you counter shotgunners as well.

How do I compete with people who have gear perks which allow them to feed these weapons consistently when I can't? How could I leverage those same weapons in PvP when I can't feed them?

Telesto is harder to avoid but after the nerf you should be seeing yourself mapped less by them. The trick with Telesto is that it's spread is vertical. So strafing while also jumping may get you tagged by a bolt or two, but you should survive. Jotunn is far easier to avoid as strafing basically screws the tracking which is slow. If at any time you aren't strafing against them you will most likely die. If you are a hunter, running triple jump and using the vertical space can let you avoid getting killed very often as well against a Telesto as they most likely cannot get the # of bolts required to hit you unless they are a god of flick.

Regarding snipers. Snipers main weakness is that it's hard as hell to contest for ammo due to your range. If they kill you and you drop a special brick, that means they have to go over to all the way where you died to pick it up before your own teammate picks it up or one of theirs picks it up. If they're picking up special bricks from their own teammates who have died well, not much you can do there to starve the ammo. Also, flinch is severe in Destiny 2. Most maps don't have long lanes where a sniper can reliably hold down for ages on end. Or, there's alternative routes for you to go where you don't expose yourself to the sniper in a long lane. Most of the time you can just use a pulse rifle and flinch said sniper to hell and back. Since you've played other competitive FPSes, how do you avoid AWPs in CS? Do you just run into open wide lanes and hope to god their aim sucks? Or do you try to find a safe angle to pick them or flank them?

Same concept but even easier in Destiny 2 due to flinch being so stupidly high. Also, most of the snipers require a headshot for a OHKO outside of rare cases (Izanagi x4 honed edge will body you. Aggressive frame snipers with kill clip procced or in an empowering rift will also body you). I will concede that sometimes you can flinch a sniper into a headshot on you.

I think when you are someone who has a ton of play time, got in on the game early and have all this gear, the flaws aren't apparent when you're winning all the time. When I've done well in games, I've not noticed issues until some knee jerk rebalancing changes how the game works and things you could do can't be done anymore.

IB is the only mode ATM IIRC that has SBMM. Probably why you enjoy it the most if you're the correct light because it has somewhat of a reasonable MM scheme.

Like I said above, generally IB fixed rolls have scavenger perks for the common PVP weapons so keep an eye out for those when IB rolls around.

Regarding other things, what class do you play and what weapons are you currently using?

I realize that head shot kills with sniper rifles require skill. I never said otherwise. What stacks against me is the fact that I can't feed those weapons and seemingly everyone else can. I've tried both the Hunter and the Titan. I usually use the Titan in general. So far, I haven't had much difference in performance between the two. My Hunter isn't as high, so I don't have the same available weapons. It's not level 50. I do better with the super on that one, or burning maul on the Titan. When I can get a super without being farmed or spawn camped to the point where I bail on the match.

Weapons wise, I've got Ace of Spades, I have Bygones (as of yesterday) and Vigilance Wing. I have a number of other pulse rifles like Go Figure, Blast Furnace, etc. I do best with Tiger Spite in Iron Banner. For shotguns, I tend to use the Ikelos, but can't feed it reliably. Stats wise, it appears to be just as good as any other shotgun but the range seems more limited despite what the stats say. Still, I've used it so much in PvE content that I can kill with it if I have ammunition for it which is the primary problem. All the Iron Banner gear I've gotten has had scavenger perks for shit I don't use like sidearms and auto rifles. Obviously, the latter isn't needed. I may have one piece with a shotgun scavenger perk. It's helpful, but given the limited range its only a help occasionally.

Heavy weapons aren't a problem. I have the Hammerhead with decent perks. I've got Thunderlord, the Avalanche and even the Whisper of the Worm. With weapon performance, I've gotten kills with the Ace of Spades, Sunshot and other hand cannons but I tend to do better with other things. I'm great with them in PvE but not so much in PvP. For that, I do well with an auto-rifle in Iron Banner and OK with a pulse rifle.

PVP can be ok in small doses. ;) I like Iron Banner and Mayhem is a hoot. I can do some quickplay for my weekly... that's about it. I don't spend more time there than I absolutely have to. PVE far and away is what draws me to this game.

So today I hit Shattered Throne. Long/short: An hour of trial and error and angst and somehow, someway I made it to the final boss. This damn thing just...wouldn't...end. Good grief. I was exhausted.

I couldn't do it. Too many mobs, tricks...the spinning blue things I wasn't sure what to do with... no way I could do that by myself best I could see.

I won't go through this again by myself. I need a fireteam to do it. I had a second guy with me for a while and he bailed and I didn't blame him.

My hat is off to anyone who could do this solo. I couldn't pull it off.

So to be perfectly honest. If you don't have OEM (One Eyed Mask) on your titan it's probably the worst subclass to run in PvP. Any of the hunter subclasses have a better super and neutral compared to a titan. Especially a burning maul titan. If you really want to get PvP on titan you should either play mid tree striker or one of the void variants. If you must remain solar, sunbreaker or bottom tree are my vote. Maul just leaves you too open to getting team shot down.

IK is a rapid fire shotty which means it's pretty subpar in PVP if you cannot feed it reliably. The way rapid fire frames stay competitive in PVP is

1. Lots of ammo to always 2 tap from a farther distance than the other archetypes (9m is generally the optimal kill range for precision but with a RF, you can maybe get away with 12-13m) Also remember that shotgun perks matter. Having full choke or rifled is basically mandatory if you want reliable shot gun kills.
2. Lots of ammo to burn down a super. A good badlander or Wishbringer is probably the only real shotgun counter to supers but you need like 3-5 shots at close range.

I would recommend looking into farming a precision shotgun or an aggressive frame. Curated NF mindbender's is a popular aggressive energy slot or a retold tale in the energy slot. Mindbender's is probably the best bet to farm for as a Retold is very difficult to farm for (make sure you do your Dreaming City Ada bounties every week and on multiple characters if you can!). Dust rock blues can be farmed in several lost sectors. On average, 1 DRB every 10 lost sectors is average I think. It's very easy to farm a usable one.

ARs were buffed but still remain noncompetitive outside of very specific cases (Cerebus is a decent AR but still outclassed by pretty much...everything). See here for the latest changes on TTK for ARs.

As you can see, ARs to achieve optimal TTK require a high amount of crits. Any misses shoot the TTK up accordingly. At that point, I could have already 3 tapped you with AoS (.87optimal, 1.73 worst case), 4 B with TLW (.8 worst cast TTK, .53 best case), or double bursted you with an Agg frame PR (.73TTK optimal, 1.6 worst case). Remember, flinch is huge in D2. Especially if you're being shot by an Ace of Spades which somehow has a ridiculous amount of flinch compared to anything else with HCR.

Also, light level doesn't matter in QP. LL only matters in IB and that's it. So feel free to use your hunter! Especially since you can pull exotics out at lower level.

If you have any other PVP specific things I can probably go way more in-depth than I have already. Granted, if you just don't care for it then that's fine too! I know many people that dislike PvP until I sat down with them and talked through loadouts and specific strats/meta before it started to slowly click with them. There are still massive issues with MM but a large portion of the community bitched about SBMM in QP before it was removed in favor of CBMM. Ah internet right?

Also as a PSA, this week's Xur Stompees has hand cannon dex as a random perk. Get it.

I am actually aware of all those changes. I think your advice concerning the Titan is solid. I do have One Eyed mask, which has helped some. Again, for some reason Tiger Spite works for me in Iron Banner but no where else. I've had some luck with Bygones and Blast Furnace, with the latter being better for me. I do have Retold Tale and Wishbringer shotguns. The stats look worse than the Ikelos, but I'll give them a try. I also picked up Stompees and everything else Xur was selling this week.

IKELOS isn't a very good PvP shotgun. The range and lack of snapshot makes it feel sluggish. The Shaxx wishbringer with Slideshot, snapshot, accurized, full choke is a monster if you like a full auto.

Otherwise, a well rolled Retold Tale is as good as it gets in range and impact. I can't believe the distance I get one shot from with that.

I love the Destiny series, as my many ramblings on here have probably made it clear.. but...

I can't believe this time has actually come. I've finally hit a point where I logged in and didn't know what to do. All raids done, all exotics collected, all pinnacle weapons (outside of Crucible) acquired, Wayfarer title achieved. I'm 1 Infamy reset and 2 Light for Light kills away from Dregen, the Dreaming City Ship away from Cursebreaker and the Scourge of the Past challenges away from Blacksmith.

Though, when I login, I just don't seem to have the drive to grind for anything right now. On one hand, i'm content to just wait until Season of the Drifter but on the other hand, I'm actually kinda pumped to sink some time into Division 2 and hell, even Apex Legends (anyone else play that yesterday? SUPER fun)

I'm still excited for the future of Destiny I just hope some new content can get here fast!

I want to say that the range stats in the game looked the same between the Ikelos and Retold Tale. I'll have to check but for the most part all shotguns look inferior to the Ikelos in one way or another. I do realize that in practice, my Particle of Stardust has better range and some of the other shotguns do as well.

I hate slideshot. I think shotgun sliders should all be tossed into a wood chipper.

Completed the Whisper Catalyst today (whisper quest/singe now rotates on Tuesdays with the weekly reset). Crafted about 50 blast furnace's during the last week hoping for an ok-ish one with rampage, got none - that sucked.
If you think you have the patience for it try being a Sherpa, I'm sure a lot of them started out the same way, completing their goals then decided to carry new players.

What's this about a 'crimson day'? Is that like the Christmas event but for Valentines Day?

Given that I just bought forsaken last night, I like the idea that I have some stuff to do with the content now. The grind does get bad especially when you aren't part of a guild. I too am waiting for the division 2. I played the crap out of the first game. Going to try out Apex Legends later.

Like Drexion said maybe you could start teaching some other non-maxed players how to do the Raids.
