Found this pro-tip on reddit.
Seems like an exploit that's likely to be fixed (or not, who knows? It is Bethesda, after all).

I set myself a hard limit of $20 in its current state. $25 if they patch it up nice.IMO, the game is worth $35 if you like the other Fallout games.
41% price drop after a few days of release lol...new record!..
Bethesda is giving out refunds for PC btw. Just fyi.
They're required by law to give refunds in a lot of places around the world, so this shows nothing about their "faith" in the product.Hahah!
That shows a huge lack of faith in the product and confirms all of our distaste. Fail.

I do notice a trend that reviewers seem to be forcing themselves to avoid saying anything positive about the game... Maybe for fear of backlash?
The skillup vid is 24mins long. He said he played 30 hours. The video is 100% negative opinions, not one redeeming quality. I kept waiting for him to say "despite all its problems, heres the one thing I liked in fo76" but it never happened. He even criticizes fo4's gunplay and the crafting system... Two things that were actually well received!
He didnt like a single thing in the game? Not even, idk, the radio tracks? It seems very forced.
At this point calling it a circlejerk is an understatement. Even "professional reviewers" are falling into the trap.
I'm still looking forward to ACG's review. So far GGG is the only one who went into this with any optimism.
Well, I saw a video where some guy referred to it as "bandwagoning" aka post a scathing review for the sake of clicks..
That, I believe.
Now, does the game deserve higher than a 6.5 in it's current state? NO.
Is it a completely unsalvageable P.O.S. with no redeeming qualities? Far from it.
Thats what I would rate it 6.5-7 in its current state.
I applaud you that you're able to keep googling reviews. But are you capable of making a decision based off of playing this game for your self?
After all, it is much cheaper right now.
Tell you what, buy me a copy, and I'll try it. However if you think I am going to pay money for a game that by all reviews isn't very good, well no. So if it is so amazing you feel I just most try it to see and that all the reviewers are wrong, I'll give it a shot if you get it for me. Otherwise, please stop with the "Oh reviews are crap you have to try it yourself!" It is very silly to suggest people spend money on something they cannot return and get a refund for if they are worried they might not enjoy it.

How about listening to your fellow [H] member reviews for a change? Those who are playing it that is.
It's also kinda silly to post in a thread about a game you haven't played, and just blatantly dog on it.
If you're not playing and you've said your peace, leave it be....
Threads on H are supposed to be for discussion, not just love fests.
In other words you want me to listen to you and buy it to validate your choice? No thanks. I've been looking all around at opinions on this. On H, on Youtube, on Metacritic I'm curious what people have to say about it. However I'm particularly curious about what reviewers that I find to have tastes similar to mine say, extra so if they like the Fallout series. So far, the results are not good. As such, I'm not going to buy it. I'll keep an eye on it, because never know, it could improve but I'm not going to give them money for something that looks like I won't enjoy it. If they want to offer me 30 or 90 days return policy, as is typical with other things, sure I'll try it, likewise I'll try it if someone feels it is so amazing they need to give it to me. Otherwise, no I'm going to watch and wait.
No, forget my opinion on the game. Read the rest of the [H] users whom are playing it.
Also, why put time into something we already know you're not going to buy or try? Wouldn't it be best to just leave it as is? Plenty of others out there to play. If you don't like something, why put effort into it at all after you've stated your original case? It's obviously clear that you care about this franchise, and the whereabouts of this game. But don't expect people who've actually played the game to not call you out on your shit when you know absolutely nothing else but specific bullet points based from negative/biased review sites/videos.
