Beta was great fun. Definitely looking forward to the release.

We're seriously lacking in mech games and space sims. I fire up Elite Dangerous every 2 years or so and then just get bored after like a week. I need a game with an actual story. Still dreaming of the day when Star Citizen is released, but I don't know if I'll be alive in 2032 when it's released.Hell yeah. Here's to hoping it works out. The current mech game is lacking big time.
Does it have an estimated release date?Beta was great fun. Definitely looking forward to the release.
Does it have an estimated release date?
April 2018
Tomorrow noon. Tomorrow Noon. Tomorrow Noon. Hum. Did I mention Tomorrow noon ?
Comes out tomorrow looks ok I mean you have Robot Wars out there which basically caught on wildfire in the mobile market.
I may be a little excited about this game as these sit atop the bookshelf beside my rig. Pre-loading now. Also ... damn I need to paint the other 3 mechs soon.
Mechwarrior Online (MWO) left a sour taste in some folks' mouths (I kinda like how MWO is now, actually).
The game is possibly just shy of incredible: it's everything I could've asked for in a turn-based game, and more, with excellent lore, tooltips galore (yet perfectly placed), and super intense action (I very nearly lost the original Argo fight due to a really stupid strategy of mine, and eked out a win at the very end). Cutscenes feature lovely moving art, and the art direction is superb, indeed. Your "command ship" features Starcraft 2 style interactive interface, but with some nice RPG elements in the well-placed and detailed dialogue. I'll write up a more formal review sometime in the future.
As for widescreen? Doesn't work properly on my 3440x1440 (16:9 ratio), but is ok on 2560x1440 (bars on left and right sides, though). The devs have acknowledged that, and will be fixing that issue in a future patch.
I heard the game can be quite long with lots of waiting for movements and actions. Is that still the case?
There are some settings to reduce some of those waits. For example they have a cinematic camera view, like xcom, for various actions. I find that annoying. You can turn them off or change how often it happens.I heard the game can be quite long with lots of waiting for movements and actions. Is that still the case?
I didn't find it particularly long (due to good pacing in the game), but that may depend on your rig. Turns went rapidly, more often than not. If anything, I thought it was on the quicker side of things. There are options in-game to speed up the movement actions, though.
As for bugs (besides the widescreen issue), I haven't had any.
Yeah, I think so. I loved that game.
Okay though, can someone please tell me how the fuck you get a mech out of storage? I would think you would click on the + sign that represents the empty slot but nothing happens. In storage I only see my partial mechs, but I have multiple complete mechs I can't find.
I see other people asking online, I know I'm not alone dammit, lol
