I have a full Rift here as well. Most of the testing and playing we do is in roomscale and the Vive is a better setup in my opinion. So what made you choose Vive over Rift, Kyle? Last I heard you were thinking about it but didn't want to.
Thanks for your on-topic comments about our Inside VR episodes. The only reason VR is so highly ranked on here is because of all the VR news posted. Of course it will rank higher. Still think in its current form it is more fad than anything. I'm also not a fan of how obsessive people get with things like this. People are disconnected enough from the real world how it is, I just don't see this as a healthy evolution for mankind.
Now, for medical and science research and treatment, I'm all for it.

I don't know why some people want to overthink it so much, at least when it comes to gaming. Anyone that has a PC VR setup understands the basic issues like nausea, wires, cost, etc. It's certainly not a mass consumption product at this time. It may never be. But I can't recall ever having so much fun playing computer games in my life, and I've been doing it for 4 decades now. Even in its current state, PC VR raises the bar to where it's never been with this type of technology, and while not cheap, it can be done within a traditional high end PC gaming budget.
When this can be accomplished with low latency, wireless. Things get interesting.
While I haven't tried the Vive, I'd still have to agree. The Lighthouse sensors only needing to plug into a wall versus needing a dedicated USB 3 port for each Rift sensor is a hug advantage in the Vive's favor.
Are you deranged?
No...?
That was meant to come off as funny, but it didn't. Sorry. The problem I have with the Rift room-scale, is all of the cords.
