Divinity: Original Sin

Snow boots for ice. But the real issue I had was that damn sand storm area where your moves are limited and there wasn't really any defense to stop it.

You are about as far as me when you find the book transfer it to your other characters and have all your characters read the book there was a you tube video on it then if your skill is +1 you can carry weapons without getting Rot. Rot sucks =) but I like it cause adds flavor to the game. If you are talking about the skill for making the weapons with the ore I have no idea...

Just finished the troll bounty with brandon and got the tenenbium for all characters now :)

edit - Finally finished the game. Poor ending, imo; but amazing game none the less. The final boss is very hard until you figure out what to do. I also feel like a cheat, I looked at a walk through for a lot of puzzles but there is no way in hell I could have figured out most of them. Think I might buy and play Pillars now :)

Literally the question I was about to ask after seeing this thread bumped lol.

Cheers.

Apparently Enhanced Edition will be a separate game added to your Steam/GOG if you already own the game. It will be a separate install (around 10GB according to a dev) and will not replace or overwrite the regular edition. That way people will still be able to play the old version. I suspect after a certain point you won't be able to buy the regular edition anymore, EE will replace it on its Steam store page.

The timing of Enhanced Edition is certainly interesting, as it's landing with an overhaul for controller support just in time for its arrival on SteamOS along with Big Picture and controller support, plus new local co-op/split screen features, fully voiced characters, a totally reworked story (with a brand new ending) and more according to the developer. Obviously the impetus for the EE and controller UI overhaul was to bring it to PS4/XB1, but the dev was cool enough to work the features retroactively into the PC version for no charge.

^ They really are one of the exceedingly rare GoodGuy developers aren't they. Seem very enthusiastic about their games and support them well. They're like a mini CDPR.

A lot of companies that ended up doing a PS4/XB1 version of an existing PC game tended to charge PC owners of the game at least a small upgrade fee for the enhanced edition (both Metro games, DS2, etc). Not these guys.

Was the default run speed increased and/or a built in run speed slider? Planning on restarting the game completely on the EE.

Not a big fan of the consolitis menu's on PC... hope Divinity 2 isnt like that :\

Yes it makes it easier to use with a controller, but it makes it worse for use with a mouse and keyboard, IMO.

I think it only had those menus when a controller was present, no?

This is coming out on PS4 soon, is this worth $60?

For a fan of cRPG's I would say absolutely, there's a ton of gameplay hours to be had here. However, isometric view and turn-based combat isn't for everyone. I've actually seen steam reviews complain "This looked like Diablo 3 and so I bought it but it sux its not like Diablo 3".

You'd probably want to watch a few gameplay videos first and evaluate further. That said, some of the console specific improvements they've made like the seamless jump in, jump out co-op really look cool.

It's happening!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooo.............

Has anyone been playing this? Thread is so dead! I installed it over the weekend and gave it another go. Only to level 3 or so, but the main things I've noticed are the fully-voiced dialogue, awesome crafting menu, extra story bits, and extra companions! The game feels incredibly more fleshed out.

The hardest thing for me is letting go of my previously conceived judgement on builds and stat value. Seems like the game has been severely re-balanced. It really is a whole new experience and you should approach it that way!

Case in point--with dual wielding and the nifty backstab tooltip, my rogue actually feels like it has the right risk/reward.

A friend of mine was waiting for the holiday sale before buying it. I will be playing it coop with him in the next several weeks, really looking forward to it.

I've been feeling bad for months, so this one is another great game on my backlog.

It´s definitely a lot more polished now. I`m going through EE few hours at a time when I have time to spare.

My time card sub to ffxiv runs out today or tomorrow. Rather than resub I am looking at picking up Divinity Enhanced Edition on the PS4. I just want something to come home to and play after work and chores are done. Nothing too complicated that I feel lost, or loose interest. On the other hand I would like something with more depth than Diablo 3. Any input from PS4 players?

Oops didn't realize I was in the PC thread. Oh well, feel free to ignore.

Finally killed that Death Knight at the Source Temple took a few tries been stuck on him for Months but I haven't played in about a half a year.
My problem with the battle my guys would get torched or burnt alive if I made the wrong move. I kept on summing Random elementals so the Death Knight and
Death Lord had something to hack at. Then I used shield buffs like Stone and Fire sheilds to keep my warriors alive.

I got the achievement of the Source Temple which only 7.9 people on Steam who own the game made it
