This looks interesting.

I originally was going to wait for 30-32" 4K to come down or a VA 4k to come out, but I like the idea of a VA 32" 1440p. The guy on youtube is claiming under $800.

How's Benq support/RMA? I have no experience with them. Anything like Dell/HP's advance shipping, more like a standard RMA? I'm going to assume they're better than ASUS lottery RMA.

we already have va 4k- teh seiki 39", and seiki is gonna launch 28" and 32" 4k va panels this semester

Seiki is buy at your own risk with no RMA. I have no interest in that, or the Korean monitors like the Crossover. At least some of the Korean monitors come with a year from some US-based web sites.

Less than $800? 1440p and Gsync compatibility? If so jeez. Might be a contender but it will surely have some lag. I had a 1080p 32" Vizio running at 120Hz over HDMI late last year and I thought I was onto something until it started dropping pixels and the next one did too. 32" is fun to play games on, imo.

Think I read the anandtech article wrong. I doubt the 32" will be gsync compatible :(

Has exactly the same DPI as a 24" 1080p montior. Which is a little lower than a 24" 1200p but in the same ballpark. So its a good option for people (like me) with 24":es that wants more real estate without getting second monitor, having to sit closer to the monitor or get better glasses. Otherwise one might as well get a 27" 1440p. Or a 30" 1600p. Depending on price, of course. Its also VA = good contrast.

Wonder if this would be a good gaming monitor vs. Dell U3014? Hmmm...:confused::confused:

Is VA anything? Thought IPS was the hot deal like everywhere while TN was bad?

VA = au optronics
IPS = LG
PLS = samsung

pretty much the same thing - a little bit different technologies, but essentially the same level.

I think this will be my next monitor, 1440p on a 32" should be perfect for me.

Wow - i think this will be my next monitor after the BL2710PT.
If the news are right, the BL32 will be available in germany from April for 699€ ;)

Hi All

Really thinking about getting this monitor. Would like to know what NCX thinks about it.

Semi glossy! Even better. And the fact that it is 8-bit+FRC is ideal.

It's going to be ghosty! It's really too bad that it is only 60Hz, but that's really asking for a big pricetag. If they have done it without massive clouding like the FG2421 it will be a popular display. The contrast ratio is a bit low for an MVA but if they have adequately suppressed some of the negatives that come along with the technology (gamma shift/black crush/clouding) it will be excellent.

I already have the BL27110PT from Benq, but i'm very interested in this monitor.
In Germany it will be available in 1 or 2 weeks for under 600€.

I'm still happy with the BL27, but....the BL32 looks so damn good.

Finally! I was wondering when that AUO panel would end up in a monitor...

Where's the best place to get Benq monitors from in the US?

EDIT: Listed on Amazon for $999.

Thanks. I've heard of them but never been customer. How is their return/exchange policy compared to Amazon's?

For reference, I was able to return 4 VP2770s due to backlight bleed and stuck pixels to Amazon without issue (and without paying a cent).

I'm currently in the process of returning an Eizo FG2421 to B&H. They pay return shipping for defective items. My version of defective in this case was... "vertical clouding streak is too distracting". Seems to be going fine so far.

If I lived in the US I would rather spend 900$ on a glow free Eizo EV2736W since the BenQ will likely also have a frame of input lag, but slower pixel response times, more glow and worse colors.

I had a Samsung UN32EH5300 (A-MVA panel with 3,500:1 contrast) set up next to my glow free Qnix (1100:1 contrast) and disliked how far away I had to sit (90cm/3ft+ vs. 60cm/2ft from my 27" 1440p monitors) to decrease the corner glow in order to truly benefit from the deeper black level when displaying dark content

Odd that the BL3200PT is cheaper (730-800$ ) in Canada and is 250$ less than the EV2736W. The BL3200PT could be a compelling choice if competitively priced (slightly more expensive than the AOC Q2770QPU and BenQ BL2710PT) around the world.

Yeah, I have a hard time picturing this. The 3000:1 ratio is throwing me off. That's going to be high--it's probably going to be a hot mess. But my only experience with an AMVA is the Sharp panel in the Eizo FG2421 and it is "glow" free 100%. All 5 I tested were. So I'm surprised that AMVA is associated with glow at all.

If one were to calculate the -size to viewing distance ratio- and sit the correct distance from the FG2421, it would no longer be glow free compared to a larger VA panel.

At 60cm/2ft (my preferred viewing distance for monitors up to 27"), a 24" VA panel will appear to be glow free while a 27"+ VA or AHVA/IPS/PLS panel will not.

Dat Bezel Tho. 3 of these would be awesome... If I didn't already have a lot of 30"rs....

0,276 pixel size like 24" displays - very nice compromise.

Need some reviews but that could be nice replacement for the 27+24 (16:10) pair I have now.

it's a tossup for me between this and a 34" 21:9 screen

I'm in the same boat. I was under the impression that IPS panels of this size have much more glow than VA-based panels? Or is that distinction specific to particular monitors?

Finally! Been waiting for this for months.
Acer also has a monitor with the same panel, the B326HUL, which is also not available yet.

Does the BenQ BL3200PT have glossy, semi-glossy or matte coating?

How's AUOptronics quality control lately? Lot's of reports of issues on the BL2710PT on here.

Semi glossy. Lots of reports of issues? Seems to be fairly few issues with that compared to other QHD models to me. Over-exposed photos showing something which affects all IPS etc. panels are hardly a measure of quality control.

I was hoping for glossy.
The reports are in the BL2710PT thread. They mention half the screen having a yellow tint, trapped dust inside the AUOptronics panel itself and dead pixels. Given BenQ being an unknown with regards warranty support those reports put me off.

Review of the Acer B326HUL which is also semi-glossy. Use Google or Chrome to translate.

2,400:1 contrast isn't that impressive considering how far away one has to sit from a 32" VA panel (vs. sitting 60cm/2ft from the glow free Eizo EV2736W) to get rid of the glow and benefit from the deeper blacks. The Acer is also PWM free and seems pretty good aside from overshoot ghosting:

The rate of this menu can not be changed, and as a function not be turned off. The test images show that the electronics aggressive acceleration compensates for lower response time due to the panel's characteristics, which results in higher than average, purplish-blue undershoot (overshoot) effects. Unfortunately, this is so powerful that it occurs as shown while moving the mouse cursor, which will require some routine.

I owe more to the level of input lag: it develops roughly 15 to 20 ms.

The BL3200PT should have a few overdrive (AMA) options.

if it's not worse than the two DELLs i have (U2412 and U2913), then i probably will go for this.

also, baddass from tftcentral.co.uk is going review this screen within like 2 weeks, looking forward to that.

Should it be ok for games?
Even with this 4ms grey to grey?

If you think 4ms grey to grey would be a problem on a 60Hz monitor you need to do more reading. Sorry for being blunt, but this is a VA panel. Ignore specified response times.

I know what you mean, but the ghosting isn't so bad from VA tech, it's noticeable, but it's almost pleasant, not quite a "feature" but it's more a curiosity than a horrible defect, to me. This is based off my only VA panel I've ever had though, the fg2421

VA panels don't "glow". It's backlight bleed.

IPS glow

As mentioned in the introduction, the analysis of the panel mentioned above, in the AMVA IPS + panel obviously not glow, so this effect by disturbing not to be expected.
