So as it turns out, the laptop in question does not use the processor i though I needed (520m pga988) I ended up finding one for 20 bux... BUT instead uses something like the i5-3230m FCPGA988...

SOOOOOO if anyone has a i5/7 processor that is compatible with this socket and wants to find it a useful home, let me know. Else thanks for the help and consideration.

The said 520 will go into bro's laptop. lucky him. :p

I am giving my father-in-law my old Kindle Fire HD 7" for Christmas. does anyone have an empty box for it that they could send to me? I cannot find mine.
 
I have AMD Athlon X2 BE-2400 and AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+. Both are AM2 cpu.

He is asking for 30 dollars for shipping. you can literally buy an entire AM2 rig for that much shipped these days.

That's... interesting.

I wonder what carrier he's using. USPS I could do those two chips in a bubble mailer first class for less than $4 or bubble mailer + Priority Flat Rate Envelope for $6. UPS Ground or FedEx Home Delivery would be about $5-10 in a bubble mailer plus the shipper's cardboard envelope. (Although, TBH, I'd charge the bus fare to the UPS authorized location or to the FedEx box, both clear on the other side of town, in addition to the postage cost -- I think that's entirely fair, since I'd have to make a special trip out to do it.)

So I'm guessing those CPUs come by private courier...? or perhaps someone doesn't really understand what the Perpetual Freebies Thread is all about... ;) C'mon man, Tis The Season, be merry and generous :p

Found another, slightly different one of these -- so I now have two. They go to the dump on Friday, the 27th, if no interest.
 
Looking for an official wired Xbox 360 controller with USB breakaway end. Has to be Microsoft official, not third party and not a wireless controller with a USB power charger.

For grabs: Two wireless 360 controllers. One black, one white, both may have a sticky button or two. I have no way of testing exactly.
