404, if you want the speakers, that's great, but the wires are molded into the casing with some kinda weird plastic/rubber goop... I really don't think I'm going to mess with that ;) If you're still interested PM me your zip (I've forgotten again) and I'll get you a shipping quote...

Half tempted to just ask you to decase them and send them to me. Not sure for what for just yet...

I thought so but didn't want to assume I couls still claim it. PM coming to you and starhawk.

Decided to keep these...

I have these speakers, minus the wall wart (I don't know the tip exactly but it looks like ~5mm * less than 2mm). They are Dell model A215 2.0 channel speakers. Please take them away before Thursday (5 Dec) or they will go to the dump.

Putting together a rig for a family whose father just skipped town. Need an am2 board if any one can spare or let go cheap. I have a PCI-e gfx card to go in as a bonus if that is an option.

Got a charity build back on the bench for older couple in the neighborhood...I put a machine together from donated Ars parts a couple years back. One of the mem sticks is toast. On the troll for a stick of 512MB PC2700...preferably Kingston ValueRAM to match remaining good stick (KVR333X64C25/512).

Let me know whatcha got...

~Nuts

I got a stick of hynix here. Want it? Just send me your address.

Nuts, I have some too. It's not Kingston, but it should work just fine. Let me/us know..

In the need of these parts:
- Memory 1GB sticks or larger (laptop or desktop).
- Sata drives that are 60GB and above (laptop or desktop)

This gear is used for friends or clients that can't afford new replacements.
Thanks to anyone that can lend a hand.

On a side note I have a friend that is looking for a small and light Thinkpad. Her budget is $300, but for her that's pushing it. If anyone has anything in that budget that meets these specs I'm sure she would be all ears.

I can help with the hard drives for sure. Maybe memory too; I'll have to check. :)

I may be interested in a few of those if you were interested in splitting them up.

On a side note my moms laptop needs some replacement parts as it just went down today. Looking for 4 Gigs of DDR2 memory and a SSD between 80-160GB.
I posted up a wtb thread since they are semi larger items, but if anyone is feeling quite generous I know she would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks a bunch

Does anyone have a Socket 775 cpu ~2.5ghz? Like a E6420, e5200, e6400 dual core etc....

I don't need any Pentium D's as I have those.

I have SL7PU-530J
SL8HX-521
and a Pentium 640 up for grabs.

All gone...

Changed my mind so these are back up. They are now very slightly damaged -- I attempted to remove the case for 404, but I didn't get very far because I didn't want to cut or desolder wires. However, in the process I managed to mangle one of the rubber holds-the-wire-in-place plugs on one of the speakers, and it was partially replaced by a bit of electrical tape. This is quite visible at the back of the speaker. I can post a picture if anyone really needs to see what electrical tape wrapped around a cable looks like :p

I believe I have a replacement wall wart for these as well (I have two that are electrically compatible, but I have not tested physical compatibility), although it will be rated at twice the amperage required (and so it will last longer); *if* I include one it will cost $5 extra. I think that's quite reasonable.

If I don't have a taker for the speakers (with or without replacement wall wart) by next Monday (16 Dec) then they will go to a local thrift store, wall-wart-less.

I have a pair of 512MB DDR2 SODIMM ad possibly a single 1GB DDR2 SODIMM up for grabs.

I need a pair of 2GB DDR2 SODIMM, prefer 6400 but i'll take whatever.

I have an Athlon 64 X2 5000+ CPU. Please read the following to understand why I am putting this CPU here.

The CPU came with an HP motherboard and heatsink that I purchased off of eBay. The items were packed unbelievably atrociously. I do not exaggerate much to say that it would've been kinder to throw everything in a ten inch skillet on my kitchen stove, set the thing to HI and walk away for a few hours. The motherboard was wrapped in a thin foam sheet and the remainder of the packaging consisted of styrofoam blocks and two or three very small pieces of cardboard. There was absolutely no antistatic protection anywhere. The board, upon testing, was totally dead. (I lost the case I opened basically because I didn't have a damn clue what I was doing.) I took the board to my local tech shop and they did absolutely every single thing they could think of, up to and including a chipset reflow, and none of it worked. I asked the shop to recycle the motherboard and kept the heatsink and the CPU, which is the one I'm peddling here.

It is fairly safe to assume, given all of that, that this CPU is either (a) dead, (b) very close to dead, (c) highly schizophrenic, or (d) some combination of the preceding and then some. I don't trust it and I can't test it. I don't care. I lost $30 on that disaster and I'll never see that money again. Get this damn thing out of my sight and out of my house.

EDIT: just to be more specific, this is an AM2 model.

CPU pending to cj_y. For the record, I'm keeping the heatsink.

@jojo69 -- eh, I'll live. Last time I buy something "for parts or not working" that's easily tested, without convincing the seller to test it for me first. Seller was kind of snotty from the start (a *big* red flag) so I probably shouldn't've touched it, but I let the fact get ahold of me that it was the lowest price for that model on all of eBay. Turns out that all of those motherboards, specifically HP's M2N61-AR "Acacia-GL6E" models, have a problem with the nVIDIA chipset. HP's admitted it, but I heard that from the local tech shop rather than a news bulletin so I'm not sure of the details. It was probably a dying chipset combined with egregious static damage that killed the board.

I have an Intel 3945ABG WLAN thingy for laptops. First class shipping should cost around ~$2. Let me know if interested.

I have some more games to add:

Operation flashpoint-cold war crisis with field manual and guide
MechWarrior vengeance with battletech reference guide book
blades X
split second
crisis special edition & crisis warhead--plain white envelope with keys
splinter cell stealth action redefined
doom 3--3 disc set
