The strange thing about all of this is that the price difference for a fully finished interior and back panel plus the overhead of IGG is about the same as the discount newegg had on the Silverstone 450w PSU two weekends ago
Wait, wait, wait.. there was a sale? Are you talking about the 450W SFX units? Which ones, and how much? If the current prices are the non-sale prices then I'll probably hold off on the PSU purchase until the M1 is near release
The strange thing about all of this is that the price difference for a fully finished interior and back panel plus the overhead of IGG is about the same as the discount newegg had on the Silverstone 450w PSU two weekends ago. I will just find sales to pay at least half of the difference, or delay buying an extra fan for a month.
It doesn't make sense to me to buy this thing without the interior and back panel painted. The price of self etching aluminum primer, paint and sand paper will cost more than having it professionally done, plus you have to do all of the work yourself. Even if you are painting it a different color, at least it would be primed and the back panel would match the exterior.
That's my one cent. Oh wait I need that.
Yes the exact model everyone wants The Silverstone st45sf-g (gold 450w SFX) was on sale for $76.99 for one day.
The short answer is that the non-modular is supposedly louder under load and quieter at idle than the modular version.
The long answer is that there is a big thread all about the modular PSU and how it compares to the non-modular version and so on. And there is now a new version of the modular PSU that might be better, but I'm not sure if it's easy to distinguish which one you will get when ordering.

$180, Black, black anodized panels, black painted interior, black front I/O port
INT Shipping via USPS $65 (include $200 insurance for most* countries)
This is the where we are assuming:
1) We get at least 300 orders
2) Necere finds a way to get front I/O made better & without a price increase / tooling
3) Lian Li doesn't increase price on us as result of material cost increase or factory strike
$160, Silver, silver anodized panels, unpainted & raw interior, black front I/O port
$170, Black, black anodized panels, unpainted & raw interior, black front I/O port
$180, Black, black anodized panels, black painted interior, black front I/O port
US Shipping via USPS $25 (include $200 insurance)
INT Shipping via USPS $65 (include $200 insurance for most* countries)
Notes:
* Some countries don't allow insurance up to $200
** We will NOT ship without insurance, it's too risky
*** VAT & Import Duty are paid by the buyers, NCASE is exporting to you from USA
**** 100% aluminum, laser cut panels, made by Lian Li
***** Lian Li's case interiors are mostly raw aluminum & unpainted
****** IGG + Credit Card fees = 9-10% of total funding raised
******* Order 10% extra inventory to protect our customers from defects. Ex: we would stock 330 units for 300 orders.
Stretch Goals:
- Additional "No ODD" top panel as option
- 2x 120mm DemciFlex magnetic filter with every order
- Serial for those donated to IGG prototype campaign

MINE!!!$180, Black, black anodized panels, black painted interior, black front I/O port
I guess it's been awhile since i last purchased a case. All my lian li's have been naked aluminum on rear and interior. Does the full paint help prevent corrosion?
did you get a v2.0 revision?
Can we please get a rendering or two for the silver option? I checked page 1 and wasn't seeing any.
Also, is it typical for black anodizing to cost more than silver?
Last but not least, are there any plans to offer alternative shipping methods for domestic destinations?

I talked High Power again this morning and they said they are now ready for production, but the minimum order is 1000 units. We need an OEM to place an order I guess. I'm going to track this a little longer and wait to see how quiet v2 is on the silverstone, then make a decision.
Wow... this thread has certainly attracted a number of new members. I'm wondering if the there will be enough for all of us... or will it sell out in like 10 minutes...
No I had it in the cart and then decided to wait for the High Power 500w/120mm fan. I am glad I waited given that v2 is out now. Sounds like newegg definitely has v2 now. Probably had the sale to clear inventory or something.
I didn't really elaborate to w360 on all of the issues with the front I/O, so his statement isn't fully informed. Basically, I gave LL the parameters for the front I/O holder/cover and let them design it. The way they did it, plus the change to the possibility of leaving the chassis unpainted means I'm going to have to redesign it."2) Necere finds a way to get front I/O made better & without a price increase / tooling"
Whats wrong with the front I/O?

Paint will definitely help protect the aluminum against corrosion, but I haven't had trouble with unpainted aluminum corroding in the past. I live in a dry climate though. I like painted simply because I want a black panel on the back and a cleaner appearance inside. I would even paint the inside of the silver versions. I think it would add some class.
That is really great news. I am glad to see everything $180 and below with only 300 orders. I may get a silver too. That way I can get a silver/painted and black/unpainted for the price of two black/unpainted.
What was the problem with the IO panel? I don't recall any details about this. (EDIT: I now see above.)
Aluminum doesn't "rust". There is a slight oxidation that happens almost immediately after aluminum is exposed to air, but it is the same color as aluminum, and it protects the aluminum.
did you mix those up? the silver does not come in a painted variant...
Necere and Wahaha360: thx for all the info, this is looking very promising. I'm still hoping for a European-based distribution though, if it would actually solve any problems.
Your plans sound good to me! I like the stretch goals too. If the "no ODD" top panel is in addition to the regular slotted top panel, that would be a quite nice option as long as it's not very expensive. Without the ODD slot, my computer wouldn't have to be "pretending" to have an ODD when it actually doesn't. If I ever repurpose it into a HTPC I could simply swap the top panel and add in an ODD.Stretch Goals:
- Additional "No ODD" top panel as option
- 2x 120mm DemciFlex magnetic filter with every order
- Serial for those donated to IGG prototype campaign
The problem is, we need to account for >25% extra tax and import duty. So I'll be happy if it's 250 with shipping and customs.will there be a shipping discount if you order more than one case? In that case (pun intended), maybe we might order together...
Sooo, who lives in the Netherlands an is planning to order one? (Preferably close to Rotterdam )
Phuncz, you are from Belgium, am I correct?
PS. googled '245 dollar in euro', result: 187.39 euro which is well below the psychological 200

I asked this two times but got no reply: I still want to know the exact weight of this chassis. I'm sure 6lbs is just an estimate.
Does the international shipping include the border/tax fees for Canada?
