Nice Orange setup #Grey, almost went that way before I decided on Vox.

I was tempted. I went with an AD30 which is the Orange take on the AC30 and when you run it clean, you can get a very Voxish tone with the right settings that usually surprises.

Just got my GeekDesk a few days ago. That's a really nice blue color for the Embody, Ahriman. Makes me wish I didn't go straight black for mine, heh.

Thanks everybody :)

- good call on the deskpad, I think I will.

Bop - I was eying the tomato version originally for some reason, but it was out of stock, so I got this, and I think it's for the better - this is a more versatile color IMO.

How do you like the GeekDesk? I'm a bit disappointed in my Biomorph, the keyboard tray transfers too much force to the desk so I have to type lightly else the monitor starts vibrating. I am tempted to just build a sturdy ergonomic desk myself, should be a good learning experience.

Been lurking since the early days of [H] (lost an account or 2 during the various purges over the years) and finally have a workstation/rig worthy enough to show off.. Sorry for the terribad cellphone pictures, I don't own a DSLR :(

@Ahriman4891 - Tomato photographs rather well and always looks great in designer settings. But the color draws attention to the chair, and this may or may not be what one would want in a home setting.

Tomato also clashes a bit with darker furniture. Black computer monitors, speakers, cases, and etc. can be potential issues as well.

@Bop - I too wish to know how the GeekDesk fairs. I've been seriously considering adding a standing workstation to my setup. I'd need the black top though, and I am not a fan of laminate. (The lighter colors are veneers, sigh.) But since most standing desks are designed for business use, laminate tops are the preference. So I may not have a choice there.

@Ahriman and TESLA: So far I'm impressed. My previous desk was an Ikea Jerker so it wasn't too drastic of a change for me (just about the same exact size, too). It's proven very sturdy, but I am using the small frame version.

If you get a standing desk you may want to look into an anti-fatigue mat. They really help you stand longer. Some good ones are offered here: http://www.ergodepot.com/Rhino_Mat_Pyra_Mat_Anti_Fatigue_Mat_p/afmpm.htm

@ctantra - I'm guessing those acoustic panels aren't for those multimedia speakers. What else do you have in that room? :)

Haha, sound that you have knowledge about room tuning, yes the computer is in the corner of my stereo room. I'm planning to buy Onkyo SE200 LTD and connect it to the Preamp.

Damn. What gauge speaker wire is that? What are the components?

@ctantra - You'd think their size, side panels, and sloped baffles would give them away, but for the life of me I can't name those speakers. (The first few potential manufacturers which come to mind heavily favor ribbons so they are out.) I'm positive I've seen them before, too, but oh well.

Regardless, love the setup. And I would encourage you to post in the Speaker and Headphone Rigs Picture Thread.

Those Onkyo cards are really interesting. I've never heard one though. Sadly, the PCI interface makes it a nonstarter for me, and the PCIe variants I have looked into don't have the same reputation. As it stands, the Onkyo SE200 LTD has a good following, and has been favorably compared to many tried and true desktop DACs.

dont know how i'm going to compete with this page...

Oops! Realized I posted in the wrong thread. Will post in the 2013 Rigs thread.

My workstation at work is actually many many times lamer than my personal home PC. :)

^ How do you like that Doublesight monitor?

It's a fantastic monitor. 2560x1600 and H-IPS (although their site incorrectly states S-IPS). Same panel that's in the Dells. Not much of a fan of multi-monitor for my home gaming PC. My next monitor will most likely be the 4K Sharp PN-K321 32" when it's available this year.

In the process of buying my first house so for now this is my "workstation" while I'm packing and moving:
