Battlefield 3 General Discussion Thread

I turned off HT the moment I got my i7 920 years ago. Adds a whole lot of heat and problems for no gaming benefit.

Then he turns off HT in bios reboots and What the fuck over! Whole different systen in BF3. I was wrong all these years. I always felt people saw me first and I was a little behind.
Now, I have magically become better. COD never acted like that.
BF# is a different beast now.
I get more kills and make more points and just enjoy the godamned game more.

I will give it a shot tonight. I remember trying it back when it came out but can't remember if it did anything. I noticed my video card sitting between 70-75% most of the time. Maybe this will help somehow.

Had a few good games tonight. It seems that the less people in the server, the better my connection is and the better I can play. I got three MVP ribbons in a row.

I don't understand what's going on. Apparently I've been PB Banned and never used any type of mod or hack or anything, I've been a battlefield player since 1942 my profile has Veteran status and everything. Anyone ever have this happen before? I don't know who to appeal to or go to about this:

No.

You were not caught for a false positive.

#5xxxx violations are achieved through scanning your systems' memory and finding a known hack within. I know of only one or two situations where a false positive has occurred resulting in a #5xxxx ban and they were overturned and also resulted in *many* people getting caught for the same ban.

There are two possibilities;

One: you were hacking and don't want to admit it because you want your account back/sympathy from people online.

Two: your account details were compromised and someone else hacked.

Either way, your account is almost certainly done and one way or the other an aimbot was used with your GUID.

Right I would come here for help if I was hacking :confused::confused: Look at my stats....

Well I appealed it through Evenbalance and waiting a response from GGC. I took a 3-4 month break for work and I am wondering if my account was compromised in some way, maybe they can check this through IPs??? I came back a few days ago and then boom, this happens. I had built a new system so we will wait and see what they say.

It happens ALL the time. Not that people think "we" can do anything, they just want support or to "clear their name" in-case someone sees they've been banned.

Maybe they can. Your account security is your responsibility. There is virtually no chance of getting your account unbanned even if you could prove that someone compromised your account and hacked on it. You may be able to find out what the IP was when the flag was set, I'm not sure if EB will give you that information.

well turns out my issues were something else


rebooted last night (i was getting mid 30's FPS on end game maps)

now im back to pegging 85(where I set the render limit too)

I need to turn some details up again

I do..I find maps like Armored Shield and Bandar Desert to be very enjoyable (conquest mode), unfortunately there are not that many dedicated AK servers in the US that I have not been already perma-banned from for trolling...I still have to do all my MLRS unlocks :(

Not really...the amount of Care-bear players in this game is what is really bad...that was never the case in BF2's hey day...ever play Robert Reed's House of Aids Road to Jalololololobad server? Well that was basically anything goes, surprisingly there wasn't much tking, everyone still played as a team but you could pretty much say or do anything without any fear of getting banned....these days anything you say can and will get you banned.

Depends on the kind of trolling I guess. I usually get a good chuckle out of a well-used c4 or jihad attack. And I definitely enjoy trolling campers :)

Is that care-bears or not being 10 years old anymore? Personally, I enjoy playing without a bunch of BS going on in the chat, or teammates C4'ing my own chopper, etc.

I totally respect that buddy, but there's a way to hide the chat box though. It's hypocrisy when there's players yelling in the game "I'm getting fucked up the ass here!" amongst other obscenities, how do you censor that? :p

I'm not saying I don't want to see obscenities, that's fine. And I agree, censoring those is ridiculous in a game where your character is yelling them out. But keep it in context; I'm not looking for random flaming, insults or just constantly spamming for no reason.

Well lets just say I get very angry when someone in a jet decides to go 923482390482384 miles in the sky and descends like a blimp on top of my tank shooting me to pieces while I still can't see them. ;) :p

There's just nothing quite as exhilarating as running with the flag on a dirt bike with half the other team chasing you and bullets flying everywhere. Really gets the heart pumping. I should start recording all my play and make a compilation of some of these. Any good suggestions for something to record with? I can use the streaming program I use (Open Broadcast Software) but I'd like to be able to record at a higher quality.

I'm not sure what you mean by that last bit. OBS is fully capable of producing high quality footage. Just up your settings. If you're being held back by performance, other software won't help, but better hardware and or a capture card will help you out.

I mean that I'd like to be able to stream at one quality and record at a higher quality. Where as my streaming is kind of limited by my upload, I don't have that same restriction for recording. I know I can record through OBS at whatever quality I want, but if I want that higher quality I can't use OBS to do it if I'm streaming at the time.
 
I did hit escape. I tried everything. It persisted. Thus I alt-tabbed, started recording software, and posted. The only thing that stopped it was shutting down BF3.
