Halo 4 E3 Trailer

I still find it kind of baffling that so many people latched onto Halo as being this popular FPS.

I'm also waiting for the Halo where the Earth military wises up and just makes a gun that shoots rifle butts. I mean, that seems to be the strongest weapon in the damn games...
 
Looks like it needs DX11 and some form of AA. But it will never have such things.
 
What do you think the min requirements are for PC? I'm thinking Pentium 4 with a 32MB graphics card.
 
There seems to always someone who hates a popular fps just because it is popular. There have been games that are popular to others and I don't seem to find them interesting, but that doesn't mean they are not good.

The graphics look ten times better than halo 3, which I played but damn graphics sucked. I am glad to see them use a new engine in this thing and make it look half way decent.

I didn't hate the game series because it was popular, I hated it because I didn't like the guns, the setting, the characters, the plot... you know, everything.
 
Ones man trash is another mans treasure. Im a big sci fi fan, while the halo universe does rip a bit from various ones, its still very well put together.

I thought the demo looked very good for aging xbox. Heres hoping the xbox goes out with a great bang, not litereally since im already on my 4th.

Don't forget the physics. I've never raged so hard after being instantly killed by a vehicle moving an inch per hour.
 
Nice job microsoft you ripped off Metroid primes HUD and visors system.


Oh and metroid prime games are a bjaillion times better than you could ever make and they are not even first person shooters.

OH and if i see one of you in charge of halo 4 on the E3 show floor I am going to point out every chance i get to run in how obvious it is. Unless you highered some old Metroid prime artist I doubt this though, you ripped off almost as much stuff as Steve jobs.

Come to think of it you kinda ripped of samus varia suit too like 10 years ago.. why not do it again.
 
Am I the only one that noticed the voices weren't right for Master Chief and Cortana?

Did I miss something? They are very noticeably wrong to me, and with Master Chief's voice being the only true distinguisher for the character (otherwise just any guy in a suit of armor) I think this sort of ruins the whole thing.

I have his voice burned into my brain with the words, "Wake me, when you need me."
 
OH wait I am watching it again on my phone and really paying attention this time. You ripped a lot more of metroid prime style than just the HUD and visors. Nice jobs 343.
 
I must be getting too old, because this seems like the same shit the previous 3 halos were.


While the AI voice sounds nice, someone needs to tell her to stfu. It's like a wife naggin nonstop.


I wonder how many people stopped buying halo games over the last 10 years. Perhaps they will keep making Halo rehashes as long as there is a supply of children to buy it.
 
I can't wait for this game

Don't give two shoots about graphics or how its interface rips any other game off.

Guys, Don't try to argue at all about how Halo was even remotely good. Here at [H], it symbolises the first true shooter that took the spotlight away from PCs and focussed consumer dollars on consoles. This means that console-centric world of today was birthed by Halo. Therefore we must hate it, no matter how well designed it was.

Or at least that's what I'm getting. I've always loved the Halo games.

I agree, Halo was only ever impressive when it was a tech demo on a Mac/PC way back in the day.

And maybe all of the guns should just shoot pistol rounds from the original Halo pistol. ;)
 
Halo lost the gameplay war just by the fact that its a crap console noob first person shooter that has to be played with a slow ass crap analog stick and not the way real first person shooters like quake and unreal play with a fucking mouse while running at high speed and sniping while flying through the air...

AKA a real mans game this and console noob crap of duty stuff is not a real first person shooter.

Halo Reach was a let down.

This trailer actually looks quite promising. Story seems darker, new enemies, better graphics...

Might just have to buy another Xbox 360!

I was a console gamer up until Halo 3, which I didn't care for that much.
Halo 2 on the original XBOX was by far the most fun I had at the time since Q3A.

Those are distant memories now, since I've been brainwashed by my PC peers.
 
I don't get it... why arn't the HUDs in the helmets 360 view? What's the point of a HUD if you can't see everything at once?

Boba Fett - Mandalorians in general - knows how to make HUDs!

I swear by PC gaming, but I will buy an Xbox 360 for this game if I have to. As to where some people hate the setting, story, gameplay, etc - I love the story and the setting enough to where I'm willing to rough it out through the "bad" graphics.

I hate all dumbed down console First person shooters and equal amount. I also hate the crap ports of PC first person shooters like Battlefield 3/crysis just as much.

They will all get the same treatment by me.


OH and play shootmania it is a real first person shooter and the best one at e3 so far.
